Secretary of State Rex Tillerson claims President Donald Trump opened his meeting with Vladimir Putin by raising concerns over Russian’s interference in the U.S. election. According to multiple reports, Tillerson said Putin thoroughly denied any involvement.

Tillerson also said President Trump has decided to focus on “how do we move forward from something that may be an intractable disagreement at this point,†the AP reports.
In other words, Trump does not appear ready to take action against Russia for its cyberattack on the U.S.

The AP adds that Russian’s Foreign Minister “says Trump accepted Putin’s assurances that Russia didn’t meddle in the U.S. elections.”Â
