Harvey Weinstein Has Been Indicted
Harvey Weinstein has just been indicted by a grand jury on multiple criminal charges.
The former movie mogul who has been accused by nearly 100 women was charged with rape in the first and third degrees, and committing a criminal sexual act in the first degree, according to TMZ.
Weinstein’s famous attorney, Ben Brafman, argued prosecutors “unfairly denied access to critical information about this case.”
On Friday Weinstein surrendered to authorities, and posted bail of $1 million.
In a disturbing move, Brafman said his client had a 10-year consensual relationship with one of his accusers. Having a consensual relationship does not mean rape or other misconduct cannot occur. In fact, Weinstein knows most if not all of his accusers.
