According to a report from the New York Times, White House insiders are afraid that Donald Trump’s fired assistant, Madeleine Westerhout, may seek revenge by spilling more secrets and details about the inner workings of the Oval Office now that she has been booted.
Westerhout was fired on Thursday after it was reported that she gossiped with reporters about Trump’s relationship with his daughters as well as other tidbits of gossip.
Of major concern is that a belief that she may never have signed a nondisclosure agreement (NDA) before taking the job as Trump’s office gatekeeper and secretary.
The report notes that Westerhout, who is not a longtime associate of Trump, was not happy when the president was elected and was recommended for the job by ousted Chief of Staff Reince Priebus.
The Times reports, “Current and former officials also expressed alarm about what information Ms. Westerhout could share down the road, not just about the president, but about her colleagues.”
“Unlike most other officials, Ms. Westerhout was not thought to have signed a nondisclosure agreement, a document that Mr. Trump has frequently used in effort to tamp down on leaks,” the report continues before adding, “At least one publishing house on Friday had discussions about trying to approach Ms. Westerhout for a book, according to one person familiar with the discussions.”

‘Oxymoron’: Internet Mocks ‘Demagogic’ Jim Jordan on News GOP May Move Him to Intel Committee to Sabotage Impeachment
“Like the collision of matter and anti-matter”
Republican Leadership is debating moving the ever-jacketless Ohio GOP Congressman Jim Jordan to the House Intelligence Committee in a clear attempt to spy on and disrupt the fast-moving and highly-productive impeachment inquiry. The Intel Committee is the primary committee investigating the president.
Calling him “a fiery supporter of the president,” CBS News reports the discussions among House leadership are “active and serious.”
Some political experts find Jordan’s conspiracy theories and overall disrespectful and belligerent nature inappropriate.
Well-known political strategist Steve Schmidt, a senior campaign advisor to the McCain 2008 presidential campaign and now a former Republican, has previously voiced his opinion of Congressman Jordan:
Jim Jordan is a clown, albeit a dangerous one . He is an heir to McCarthy, Demagogic, dangerous and faithless to his oath and America. He is unfit to serve in the Congress https://t.co/eAomHgJonE
— Steve Schmidt (@SteveSchmidtSES) June 28, 2018
On the news that Jordan may be added to the Intel Committee, prominent political scientist, professor of international relations, and journalist David Rothkopf weighed in colorfully, describing the effect the GOP is looking for by moving Jordan:
This shows that the GOP’s main line of defense will be letting a monkey into the room and having him throw poop at everyone during the proceedings. https://t.co/yp1f1aVQSq

He will finally be exposed to some form of intelligence.
— Dan Jordan (@dljordan2) November 5, 2019
Jordan coming in contact with anything related to “intelligence” would be like the collision of matter and anti-matter.

Well, there an inherent clash of concepts! Intelligence & Gym Jordan???😂😂😂😂😂😂

Gym Jordan and Matt Gaetz should wrestle Jerry Falwell Jr’s pool boy with the winner getting the right to be on the Intelligence Committee. Just like in the Bible.

Gym Jordan and intelligence simply do not go together. https://t.co/PcqB8xbwSU

Trump Tried to Launch #StopTheCoup on Twitter and It Blew Up Hilariously in His Face
Donald Trump kicked off his Saturday morning on Twitter with a simple attempt to promote the hashtag #StopTheCoup but didn’t get many backers.
But he did get a lot of derision and explanations about what a “coup” really is — along with inspiring the hashtag: #ThePresidentIsACrybaby.
As one commenter noted, “Holding the president* accountable for his actions isn’t a coup… it’s their job. ”
That was the general response, see below:
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) October 19, 2019
You’re going to be tried for #CrimesAgainstHumanity in the Hague for facilitating the #EthnicCleansing of our allies, the Kurds. Impeachment is the least of your worries.@statedept @senateGOP @SenatorRomney @WhiteHouse
— James Marchand (@MarchandMusic) October 19, 2019
— Jeff Tiedrich (@itsJeffTiedrich) October 19, 2019
#ThePresidentIsACrybaby also a liar, a racist, a rapist sexual predator, insane, treasonous, stupid, hateful, petty, delusional, insecure, ugly, genocidal, a #nazi fascist, a business failure, a crook & all around terrible person. Being a crybaby, kind of minor flaw by comparison

A coup is a military takeover, not a system of checks and balances meant to stop a corrupt President.

#ThePresidentIsACrybaby a bitch and a fraud too

You really have no idea how the Constitution works.

Donald Trump’s day so far:
– Trump tweets #StopTheCoup
– Yeah that’s what we’re trying to do, assclown
– #ThePresidentIsACrybaby is trending because he is one
– If Trump hates life now, wait til he gets to solitary confinement
– Trump is going to prison
– It’s still only 11am
— Palmer Report (@PalmerReport) October 19, 2019
#StopTheCoup is trending nationally. But, not for the reason you hoped, Spanky.
Impeachment is very legal and very cool. It’s the one legal remedy that your consigliere Attorney General cannot circumvent. At least, not without being prosecuted himself. #RememberJohnMitchell
— Tom Shafer (@TomShafShafer) October 19, 2019
Actually, there is a coup going on, only it’s not coming from outside the Trump administration, but as in all horror stories, it’s coming from within, led by Trump & his lackeys & henchmen, like Bill Barr, Nick Mulvaney, & Rudy Guiliani, who are shredding the Constitution.
— richard j. brenner (@rjb14) October 19, 2019
David Duke has more trending on Twitter than #stopthecoup – that should tell you something right there about the Trumpsters!

I would hate to hurt the feelings of a spray tanned draft dodging sexual assaulter like trump with helping to get a # trending like #ThePresidentIsACrybaby. Perish the thought.

Mulvaney Threw DOJ Under the Bus During Insane Press Conference – Turns Out the DOJ Has a Bigger Bus
Fox News had a difficult time trying to understand chief of staff Mick Mulvaney’s admission that the president held up Ukraine aid for political reasons. According to Fox, the Department of Justice is “utterly confused and angry” that Mulvaney outed the president for using American dollars to bribe Ukraine for 2020 election assistance.
During a press briefing, Mulvaney, who also serves as director of the Office of Management and Budget, confessed that Trump told him Ukraine corruption issues also had to do with the DNC server.
“That he also mentioned to me that the corruption related to the DNC server, absolutely,” said Mulvaney. “No question about it. That’s it and that’s why we held up the money.”
The president believes a conspiracy theory that somehow Hillary Clinton’s email server is in Ukraine.
Fox News chief intelligence correspondent Catherine Herridge said that the comment has sparked “strong and quick reaction” from officials at the Justice Department.
“They have been sending out guidance to us over the last 15 minutes,” she said. “We are told that the Justice Department was ‘utterly confused and angry’ about Mulvaney’s comments that linked the suspension of foreign aid with the cooperation from Ukraine into the Justice Department investigation that’s being led by the U.S. Attorney in Connecticut, John Durham.”
Durham is the person tasked with probing the beginning of the Russia investigation and whether procedures were followed.
Meanwhile, EU Ambassador Gordon Sondland was testifying on Capitol Hill that he too was told that the president’s personal lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, would be the point person on anything having to do with Ukraine. It was only later that Sondland said he learned that it also included investigations into the former vice president and his family.
“Our view was that the men and women of the State Department, not the president’s personal lawyer should take responsibility for all aspects of U.S. foreign policy towards Ukraine,” Sondland testified in his opening statement.
