House Foreign Affairs Chair, a Top Democrat, Announces Support for Impeachment as Numbers Surge
‘Only Way to Achieve Justice’
Since Robert Mueller’s testimony before two House committees last week, at least 17 additional House Democrats have announced they support the impeachment of President Donald Trump. The numbers have been growing quickly, with several more Democrats announcing Tuesday they support an impeachment inquiry.
CNN Tuesday evening published a list of “111 House Democrats calling for an impeachment inquiry into Trump.”
Literally two minutes later news broke a top Democrat, House Foreign Affairs Chairman Eliot Engel was about to release a statement in support of impeachment.

“The American people want, and deserve, the truth. Mr. Mueller’s testimony provided ample evidence that the President committed obstruction of justice, and I believe the House must pursue a formal impeachment inquiry,” Chairman Engel says, calling it the “only way to achieve justice.”
ActBlue has a list of 113 House Democrats (plus Republican Justin Amash) supporting impeachment.
114 Democratic Congressmen and Congresswomen supporting impeachment is just four away from a majority of the Democratic caucus.
There are 235 House Democrats out of 435 Members of Congress.
Expect the number to grow in the next day or two, and escalate once a majority is met.
