FBI Has Secret Recording Michael Cohen Made of Trump Discussing Hush Money Payment to Playboy Model

Michael Cohen secretly recorded a conversation he had with Donald Trump about paying hush money to a Playboy model, and the FBI now has that tape.
Cohen, who at the time was then-candidate Donald Trump’s personal attorney, “secretly recorded a conversation with Mr. Trump two months before the presidential election in which they discussed payments to a former Playboy model who said she had an affair with Mr. Trump, according to lawyers and others familiar with the recording,” The New York Times reports.
Rudy Giuliani, now Trump’s personal attorney, confirmed the recording to The Times.
The Times identifies the model as Karen McDougal, and adds that she “says she began a nearly yearlong affair with Mr. Trump in 2006, shortly after Mr. Trump’s wife, Melania, gave birth to their son Barron.”
