RELIGIOUS HYPOCRISY
Rick Santorum Squirms While Trying to Defend Franklin Graham’s Hypocritical Attacks on Pete Buttigieg
After Attacking LGBT People for Years Santorum Now Says ‘I’m Not an Expert in This Area’
Trump defender Rick Santorum admitted on Friday that the Rev. Franklin Graham was being hypocritical in his condemnation of South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg — even as he’s been keeping silent on the immorality displayed by President Donald Trump.
During an appearance on CNN, host John Berman pointed out that “it seems there is some relativism” in Graham’s religious faith because “he is calling on Pete Buttigieg to repent for being gay, yet he’s one of the most ardent supporters of the thrice-married President Trump.”
“You have every right to call him out on that,” Santorum said. “If he says that about Pete Buttigieg, then when Donald Trump’s accusations come up about marital infidelity and other things that’s equally as sinful.”
Berman then asked Santorum if he believed marital infidelity was on the same level as simply being gay — and Santorum replied that the two were the same.

“Adultery is a choice, but people are born gay,” Berman replied, before asking Santorum if he accepted that homosexuality is something that people are born with.
“You know, I’m not an expert in this area,” he said. “I don’t know. The answer is, you know, we have to be loving and tolerant of everybody. Everybody is due respect and love and should be treated with dignity and respect, and whether they choose it or not, I don’t know. I don’t really care.”
