‘Shut Up — You Are a Disgrace!’ Morning Joe Goes Nuclear on Franklin Graham’s Attack on Pete Buttigieg

MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough on Thursday launched a brutal broadside against the Rev. Franklin Graham for his attack on Mayor Pete Buttigieg’s sexuality.
After reading Graham’s statement imploring Buttigieg to “repent” for being gay, Scarborough got extremely angry and told Graham to keep quiet about others’ sexuality when he has spend the past three years cheering on serial adulterer Donald Trump.
“Just shut up!” he said. “You are a disgrace! You are a disgrace for normalizing Donald Trump’s behavior!”
Scarborough said Graham’s attacks on Buttigieg were particularly obnoxious because he has been saying for years now that a president’s personal character isn’t important — only to say that it’s important again once he’s talking about a gay Democrat.

“These evangelical leaders, they are now using their positions to gain political power and apologize for Donald Trump!” he thundered. “Now suddenly Franklin Graham’s talking about lifestyles and sinning, and a guy who has gone through a very difficult personal journey to figure out who he really is, he’s criticizing them for that?”
