Trump Revokes Security Clearance of Top White House Critic: ‘Erratic’ Former CIA Director John Brennan
Sarah Huckabee Sanders has just announced President Donald Trump has revoked the security clearance of one of his top critics, former CIA Director John Brennan.
Also under review are the security clearances of other mostly former DOJ officials, including some Trump critics. Among them: Jim Comey, Andrew McCabe, James Clapper, Michael Hayden, Sally Yates, Susan Rice, Bruce Ohr, and Peter Strzok. Ohr is a current federal employee.

Monday night MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow posted a list of all the agents at the FBI who Jim Comey spoke to about his contemporaneous memos detailing his conversations with President Trump. All but one have been fired or have resigned. Three of the seven names on that list Huckabee Sanders says are under review.
The revocation of Brennan’s clearance appears to be an act of political retribution. MSNBC’s Katy Tur says the move is an attempt to get Omarosa out of the news cycle.
Some responses:
.@JohnBrennan tweeted this a day ago. Today the President apparently read it and decided to validate it publicly. https://t.co/D2ncK8ZE73

This has zero to do with national security. This is an Official Enemies List. The offense: exercising 1st Amendment rights. https://t.co/tNLr86S4m5

Trump’s decision to revoke former CIA Director John Brennan’s security clearance is political retribution. First time a former DCI has been attacked by a president.

How many more times is Trump going to get away with this type of thing before Congress revokes his security clearance under the impeachment clause?
Americans are fed up with his infringement of the 1st Amendment and other violations.https://t.co/cAQ11yzZFQ via @nypost— Richard W. Painter (@RWPUSA) August 15, 2018
Decorated former CIA Director John Brennan gets his security clearance revoked but Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner still have theirs. The timeline we live in is an absolute joke.

Per Sarah Sanders, Turmp is personally revoking the security clearance of former CIA Director John Brennan because of "erratic behavior." Says Brennan's public statements help our enemies who seek to "divide" and sow chaos.
… said w/o a hint of irony. Or situational awareness.

Shorter Sarah Huckabee Sanders: In order to change the subject from Trump being a racist and the existence of a N-word tape, John Brennan's security clearance has been revoked and others may lose theirs. #ShinyObjectWednesday
