CORRUPTION
WATCH: Caught in Lies Sarah Sanders Gets Confronted by Reporters – Refuses to Comment

Sarah Huckabee Sanders‘ credibility is at its lowest point ever. On March 7 she told reporters: “There was no knowledge of any payments by the president’ on the payment to Stormy Daniels.

Sarah Sanders today: “This is something we at the White House can’t comment on, and I would refer you to [Giuliani’s] comments and the president’s tweets from earlier this morning.”— Manu Raju (@mkraju) May 3, 2018
But President Trump’s new attorney, Rudy Giuliani, on Fox News Wednesday night told a very different tale. He admitted that President Trump reimbursed his personal attorney Michael Cohen for the $130,000 payment to Stormy Daniels, which makes Huckabee Sanders’ statement in March false.
Outside the White House Thursday morning, reporters angry they had been lied to cornered the press secretary as she tried to enter the building. And they demanded answers.

She refused to provide them.
“This is something we at the White House can’t comment on, and I would refer you to [Giuliani’s] comments and the president’s tweets from earlier this morning,” CNN’s Manu Raju noted via Twitter.
.@jonkarl: “Did you know that the president did not tell the truth when he said that he didn’t know about the payment?”@PressSec: “There’s ongoing litigation. I’m not going to be able to comment, no matter how many times you guys ask the same question.” pic.twitter.com/U30Z3yDixa

Dan Pfeiffer, the former Senior Advisor to President Obama, weighed in:
If Sarah Huckabee Sanders and the Trump press team have any dignity left they would resign tomorrow in protest.
They don’t so they won’t

Some expressed similar thoughts, others noted that comedian Michelle Wolf calling Sanders a liar at the White House Correspondents Dinner was warranted:
I’m sure that Sarah Sanders will present her resignation tomorrow morning since Trump made her lie to the American people. Correct?

Glad we had that several day conversation about the appropriateness of a comedian’s joke about how Sarah Sanders lies all the time. https://t.co/ERnmb7gUFu

Too bad. Sarah Sanders is either a liar, or so out of the loop that she had no idea what the truth was. Either way, she should no longer be @PressSec. https://t.co/okjdYI2KIQ

For today’s press briefing, Sarah Huckabee Sanders gets 3 options: resign, tell the truth, or prove Michelle Wolf was right.
