‘He Can Warp Time or Something’: Morning Joe Mocks GOP’s Biden Impeachment Probe After Latest Flop

Published

on

MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski needled House Republicans for overhyping their latest revelation in the impeachment inquiry of President Joe Biden.

House Oversight chairman James Comer (R-KY) obtained bank records showing Hunter Biden’s law firm had made monthly payments to his father in late 2018, but those three checks were reimbursement for a pickup truck the elder Biden had purchased and allowed him to use.

“What kind of car was it?” Scarborough asked. “It could have been a hot rod Lincoln. I don’t know, do you ride around in it in Tennessee, go through the Smoky Mountains? More smoking guns.”

Republican National Committee chairwoman Ronna McDaniel also on Monday accused Biden of suppressing media coverage of his son’s laptop ahead of the 2020 presidential election, which would have been before he was president, and the “Morning Joe” co-hosts called out the bad-faith coverage by conservative media of her outlandish allegations.

“Obsessed,” Brzezinski said.

“The fact that Joe Biden was so corrupt, so evil, so powerful that he could suppress this information, his White House could suppress this information, even when he was not in the White House,” Scarborough said sarcastically. “It means he has, like, some X-Men/Avengers, I think it’s more X-Men. He has these X-Men powers where he can warp time or something. Maybe it is more, like, an Avengers multiverse thing – he’s not really present, but he is. I don’t think Ronna knows that. I’m wondering why she said the Biden White House did it when Biden wasn’t in the White House, and nobody corrected her.”

‘It’s Always a Young White Male’: Fox Host Urges Action After Deadly School Shooting

Published

on

A Fox News host is blaming mass shootings on access to guns and young white males, after the latest school shooting that left two young children dead and seventeen others injured during mass at a Catholic school. The gunman reportedly was in his early 20s and is now deceased.

“Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara said the shooter — armed with a rifle, shotgun and pistol — approached the side of the church and shot dozens of rounds through the windows toward the children sitting in the pews during Mass at the Annunciation Catholic School. Police believe the gunman then killed himself,” the Associated Press reported. “The children who died were 8 and 10, and 14 other kids were among the wounded, the [police] chief said. Dozens of youngsters were inside.”

Trey Gowdy, a Republican former U.S. Congressman from South Carolina and a former federal prosecutor, stunned his co-host while speaking live on Fox News (video below).

“Our system is reactive,” Gowdy lamented. “Something bad happens, we react to it. And what people are crying for now is, ‘How can we prevent this? How can we stop it?’ And the only way to stop it is to identify the shooter ahead of time or keep the weapons out of their hands.”

“And so we’re going to have to have a conversation of freedom versus protecting children. I mean, how many school shootings does it take before we’re going to have a conversation about keeping firearms out?”

“It’s always a young white male, almost always. I mean, did anyone this morning think, ‘I wonder if that was a female?’ Did any of y’all think that? I mean, there’s been one school shooting involving a female. One. Tennessee. But other than that, it is usually young white males.”

His co-host, off camera, protested.

“Don’t we have laws on the books for these types of situations?” she asked.

“Like what?” he pressed.

“Well, well murder is what happened, and maybe the why is that you had a 10-year-old an eight-year-old praying in the pews. Were they targeted for their faith?” she asked.

Gowdy is not a liberal. On Tuesday, appearing on Fox News’ “Hannity,” he declared the left’s politics are “absolutely idiotic.”

Duffy Slammed After Handing Trump Credit for Biden’s ‘Brand New Beautiful Trains’

Published

on

Secretary of Transportation Sean Duffy is under fire for claiming credit for new Amtrak trains, as well as funding and improvements, all of which came from President Joe Biden’s landmark bipartisan infrastructure law — the nation’s largest infrastructure investment in more than half a century.

“Announcing the NextGen Acela!” Secretary Duffy declared on Wednesday. He touted the “brand new beautiful trains” delivered by U.S. DOT and Amtrak that will, he wrote, “increase reliability,” “lower ticket costs,” and “improve Amtrak profitability.”

“This is all part of @POTUS’ vision to Make Travel Great again,” Duffy claimed.

But several critics were quick to point to President Joe Biden’s Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) that was signed into law in November 2021.

CNN senior reporter Edward-Isaac Dovere wrote: “as detailed on the Amtrak website, the improvements that Secretary Duffy says are all part of Trump’s ‘vision to Make Travel Great again’ are in fact from the Biden-signed bipartisan infrastructure act, and which were underway long before Trump took office again in January.”

The “information about the source of the funding for the ‘new era of rail’ — a priority for famously Amtrak-loving Biden — is up on the Amtrak site here,” he noted, pointing to this Amtrak website, which reads:

“This is a once-in-a-generation opportunity for Amtrak and passenger rail to play a central role in improving how people move and securing our economic future. This historic legislation provides $66 billion for rail, including: $22 billion directly to Amtrak over five years to repair or replace aging assets, modernize our fleet, improve station accessibility, and other capital projects and purposes defined under the law.”

Also, Amtrak noted, “$44 billion for Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) discretionary grants to support various improvements to passenger and freight railroads.”

Others also blasted the DOT chief.

“Sean Duffy, surprising absolutely no one, taking credit for something brought to you in large part by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, signed by President Biden,” charged former chief Pentagon spokesperson Chris Meagher.

Trump Expands D.C. Occupation, Will Seize Control of Union Station Operations

Published

on

In a further expansion of its occupation of the District of Columbia, the Trump administration announced it will take control of operations at Washington, D.C.’s historic Union Station, citing crime and homelessness as justification. Crime in the nation’s capital fell by double digits last year, and dropped by double digits again this year.

“We’re gonna take it back, and we’re gonna drive out the homelessness,” Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy told Fox News on Wednesday. “We’re gonna drive out the crime.”

“And we are going to, I think, bring in more retailers, I think more customers. It’ll be better revenue,” he said.

“And again, this is our capital city. It should be beautiful, and the president wants a beautiful capital. I want a beautiful capital. And so, this plan is gonna make Union Station represent the president’s vision of what America can and should look like.”

The Department of Transportation owns Union Station, but will now exercise more control. Secretary Duffy “said it will involve a cooperative agreement with the nonprofit Union Station Redevelopment Corp., which controls the station, and Amtrak, which leases space from the USRC,” The Washington Post reported.

“I think the president has been pretty clear on what he wants for Union Station, for American travel, for travel,” Duffy said at an Amtrak event on Wednesday. “He wants Union Station to be beautiful again. He wants transit to be safe again, and he wants our nation’s capital to be great again.”

Axios added that “Union Station has been a focal point for the Trump administration’s military deployment in D.C. Top members of the Trump administration — including Vice President Vance — bashed the station’s management and cast it as crime-ridden at an Aug. 20 press conference.”

Earlier this month, Fox News reported that “about seven National Guard Humvees and other military vehicles, and around 25 to 30 troops, stood guard outside D.C.’s Union Station.”

The Department of Transportation has also wrested control of the renovations of New York City’s Penn Station. Some news reports earlier this year have suggested that Penn Station’s name might be changed and named for President Donald Trump.
