"If this turns out as everyone thinks it will, Devin Nunes should get the Medal of Honor," President Trump said Thursday morning in a telephone call in to Fox News' "Fox & Friends" (video below.)
The President, as Commander-in-Chief, bestows the Medal of Honor, to members of the U.S. Military for valor. It is the highest award given to service members. It is not given to civilians.
"He is really – what he's gone through, and his bravery, he should get a very important medal. Maybe we'll call it the Medal of Freedom 'cause we actually give them."
The President also praised Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), who's being accused of ignoring sexual molestation of college wrestlers when he was an assistant coach.
The segment below begins with Trump again repeating his totally false conspiracy theory that now-fired, former Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe received $750,000 from Hillary Clinton, while the FBI was investigating her. Trump claims that the money came from a Super PAC run by Terry McAuliffe, "who's absolutely Hillary Clinton's best friend," and was for McCabe's wife's political campaign.
"Nobody even knows if she spent the money – she might not have spent the money," Trump says, apparently implying that it might have wound up in Jill McCabe's personal finances.
