Breaking: Bomb Threats At HRC — Update 2
Several different sources report bomb threats at HRC headquarters this morning, and the HRC offices, in Washington, D.C. were evacuated in a precautionary measure. HRC is the Human Rights Campaign, the nation’s largest LGBT rights organization.
No other details are available but we will update this post as soon as we learn more. Stay tuned.
UPDATE #1: 1:10 PM —
Washington, D.C. local paper MetroWeekly states via Twitter DC Police have given “the ‘all clear’ for @HRC staff to return to their offices following an unspecified bomb threat.”
We’ll bring you more details as they become available.
UPDATE #2 1:15 PM —
There are reports other LGBT orgs are also evacuating, and other orgs may be as well. Unclear if there were actual bomb threats at other organizations or if this is a precautionary measure.
