TRUMP TEMPER TANTRUM

‘They Suck’: Trump Launches Temper Tantrum Slamming Fox News – Then Gleefully Declares ‘Oh Well, I’m President!’

Published

Trump ignores obvious fact all polls are bad for him because he is the most unpopular president in U.S. history.

President Donald Trump is putting his “executive time” to use by attacking Fox News and its polls, along with Fox News’ Andrew Napolitano, Donna Brazile, and Shep Smith.

“Whoever their Pollster is, they suck,” Trump exclaimed.

Trump is clearly furious that a new Fox News poll finds the majority of Americans (51%) not only want him impeached by the House, but convicted and removed from office by the Senate. That is the worst impeachment poll for Trump to date.

The president lashed out in a tweetstorm, declaring Fox News polls have always been bad for him since he took office – ignoring the obvious fact that all polls have been bad for him because he is the most unpopular president in U.S. history (at least since there have been presidential approval polls.)

“From the day I announced I was running for President, I have NEVER had a good
@FoxNews Poll. Whoever their Pollster is, they suck. But @FoxNews is also much different than it used to be in the good old days,” Trump lamented.

“With people like Andrew Napolitano, who wanted to be a Supreme Court Justice & I turned him down (he’s been terrible ever since), Shep Smith, @donnabrazile (who gave Crooked Hillary the debate questions & got fired from
@CNN), & others, @FoxNews doesn’t deliver for US anymore. It is so different than it used to be. Oh well, I’m President!” Trump declared.

It’s unclear if he meant that Fox News doesn’rt deliver for the U.S. or for Trump supporters (“US”) anymore.

Trump Claims ‘Five People Have Been Killed Since the Start’ of Democratic National Convention

Published

on

The Democratic National Convention is underway in Chicago this week. The speakers have gone hard against former President Donald Trump, and the ex-president has been lashing out. His latest is a bizarre claim about five people dying since the start of the convention.

On Wednesday morning, Trump posted the strange claim on Truth Social.

“So disgraceful to see the burning of the American Flag and the desecration of Police Cars at the Democrat’s ‘Party’ taking place in Chicago. Five people have been killed since the start of their ‘Convention.’ CONGRESS SHOULD IMMEDIATELY GET TO WORK! ANYONE BURNING THE AMERICAN FLAG GETS ONE YEAR IN JAIL. JUST DO IT!!! DJT,” Trump wrote.

It’s unclear who exactly Trump is claiming has been killed, but he may be referring to a couple of Fox News reports. One said that five people had been killed on the weekend before the Democratic National Convention, while another said that four had been killed on the first day of the convention. However, none of the shootings have been related to the convention, nor seemingly even nearby.

There have been protests outside the Democratic National Convention. Pro-Palestine protesters have gathered in front of the United Center to call for an arms embargo against Israel. Similar protests occurred this week near the Israeli Consulate and Union Park, according to CBS.

Trump is correct about one thing, however: Protesters have indeed burned flags during these protests. But counter to Trump’s claims, there appears to be no reports of police cars being damaged during the convention protests. No property damage was reported during the protests, according to Slate, though a fence outside the Democratic National Convention had been torn down by protesters on Monday. It was re-erected on Tuesday.

At least 72 protesters have been arrested, according to the Associated Press. Two protesters were hospitalized allegedly due to injuries while being arrested, according to the Intercept. No police officers have been injured however, Chicago Police Superintendent Larry Snelling told the outlet.

As for Trump’s proposal that anyone who burns the U.S. flag get one year in prison — that’s already been tried. In the 1989 Texas v. Johnson case, the Supreme Court ruled 5-4 that it was illegal to ban flag burning due to the First Amendment.

“Johnson was convicted for engaging in expressive conduct. The State’s interest in preventing breaches of the peace does not support his conviction because Johnson’s conduct did not threaten to disturb the peace,” Justice William Brennan wrote in the majority decision. “Nor does the State’s interest in preserving the flag as a symbol of nationhood and national unity justify his criminal conviction for engaging in political expression.”

Trump Claims ‘Illegal Aliens’ Took ‘Almost 100%’ of Jobs Created by Biden Administration

Published

on

Former President Donald Trump baselessly claimed that not only did President Joe Biden take credit for “everything” his administration did, but that nearly all of the jobs Biden’s administration created were taken by “illegal aliens.”

Monday was the first day of the Democratic National Convention, which was headlined by Biden’s speech passing the torch to Vice President Kamala Harris. The morning after, Trump was incensed and took to Truth Social.

“Most new jobs under Biden went to illegal Immigrants. Additionally, he got what is known as Covid Bounce-back jobs, standard for all countries after a pandemic. He did terribly on jobs, and everything else!” Trump posted early Tuesday morning.

A few hours later, he doubled down.

“An angry and ranting Speech full of LIES, Biden took credit for everything done during the Trump Administration, even continuing to say that he was better on Inflation and Jobs. He never mentioned the Afghanistan Disaster and all the Wars he got us into, or the fact that far more people died from COVID during the Biden years than the Trump years. The Jobs Biden/Harris “created” were almost 100% from Illegal Aliens pouring into our Country, which are destroying the lives of our Black and Hispanic population!” he wrote.

In this post, Trump included an irrelevant clip from Biden’s speech, where the president, who has a stutter, stumbled over the phrase, “Women are not without electoral or political power.”

In terms of jobs, Biden said in July that during his administration, 15.7 million jobs had been created. Though over Trump’s administration, the number of jobs actually went down by 2.7 million, according to Forbes, this also includes the COVID-19 pandemic when many jobs were lost.

Still, when comparing the first 30 months of each president’s term, Biden comes out ahead. The number of jobs under Biden’s first 30 months increased by 13.2 million, compared to an increase of 5.2 million jobs under Trump, according to Politifact.

Even when comparing the total number of nonfarm jobs — the types of jobs used for this sort of index — it increased under Biden. Trump’s first 30 months saw a total of 150.8 million jobs. Over the same period, Biden’s number of total jobs was 156.2, a clear increase over pre-pandemic levels.

Nor have these new jobs gone “almost 100%” to undocumented workers. Between Biden taking office and this June, there’s been an increase of 3.5% in American-born workers, according to CNN.

Not just that, but the Brookings Institute calls it a myth that undocumented workers are “stealing” jobs.

“The impact of immigrant labor on the wages of native-born workers is low… However, undocumented workers often work the unpleasant, back-breaking jobs that native-born workers are not willing to do,” Brookings Senior Fellow Vanda Felbab-Brown wrote in 2017.
