AOC Perfectly Smacks Down GOP Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell – aka ‘Moscow Mitch’

Last year a Republican primaried Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, calling him “Cocaine Mitch.” It didn’t seem to bother the Kentucky lawmaker much, but the current attacks he’s facing are really upsetting Leader McConnell.
In the wake of blocking at least four bills to strengthen election integrity and security across the United States, Leader McConnell is now being called a “Russian asset” by a Washington Post opinion writer, and “Moscow Mitch” on social media. Currently, #MoscowMitchMcTraitor is trending on Twitter.
He’s reportedly “enraged.”
McConnell has exactly zero right to be upset, given the accusation of being a Russian asset – unwitting or no –, is absolutely accurate.
But now he’s lashing out, crying “McCarthyism,” which is just plain false.
Here’s what McConnell had to say on Monday.
Modern-day McCarthyism is poison for American democracy. It is shameful to imply that policy disagreements make the other side unpatriotic. The people who push such unhinged smears are doing Putin’s destabilizing work for him.

Freshman Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was not about to let McConnell’s claims go by without weighing in.
She delivered the perfect smack-down, destroying his “McCarthyism” claim while calling him a “bad leader”:
McCarthyism is the practice of baselessly accusing political opponents of being communists as unjust grounds for targeting & harassment.
You are blocking action to protect US elections despite official DoJ pleas. That doesn’t make you a communist. It just makes you a bad leader. https://t.co/qLqR2vtOfI
