Trump Promotes Fan Account Image Fantasizing About Jailing Mueller and Rosenstein for ‘Treason’

Published

on

President Donald Trump retweeted four posts in a row from a fan account, including an image showing Barack Obama, deputy attorney general Rod Rosenstein and special counsel Robert Mueller in a jail cell for “treason.”

The president fired off a tweet Wednesday morning bitterly complaining that Mueller was pressuring “at least 3 major players” to plead guilty in the Russia probe, and then shared four tweets in quick succession from “The Trump Train” account, which his account does not follow.

Two of the posts made false claims about undocumented migrants — described as “illegals” — and another attacked General Motors for shutting down plants after receiving a taxpayer-funded bailout approved by former president George W. Bush.

Trump infrequently retweets content, but those retweets are often from accounts associated with right-wing extremists.

The string of bizarre retweets come one day ahead of the one-year anniversary of Trump sharing three videos from the far-right Britain First group attacking Muslims.

Trump Makes Startling Statement: ‘We’ve Taken Control of the Oil in the Middle East – U.S. Has Control of That’

Published

President Donald Trump made a startling statement Friday afternoon while boasting about how he believes he handled his widely-condemned withdrawal of U.S. troops from Northern Syria – a move that had opened the gate to ethnic cleansing of America’s now-former allies, the Kurds.

“We’ve taken control of the oil in the Middle East, the oil that we’re talking about, the oil that everybody was worried about. We have the U.S. control of that,” Trump said, minutes after concluding a talk with the first two women astronauts to participate in an all-women spacewalk.

Trump went on to claim “there are no shots being fired, and a lot of people are doing a lot of things,” despite the supposed “ceasefire” that lasted less than 24 hours.

“This is a deal that should been made 15 years, 10 ago, over the last number of years under the Obama administration. The real numbers is over one million people were killed,” Trump said, doubling his claim from earlier this week. “We have lost no, not a drop of blood since we’ve started, what I’ve started, and it was, so far it’s working out.”

CNN fact-checker Daniel Dale was among the first to report on Trump’s stunning claim.

Trump in fact made a similar statement on Twitter that went largely unnoticed just a few hours ago:

Reporters are expressing confusion over what the president meant:

Trump Attacks Obama, Hillary, Biden, and Supports Putin in Off-the-Rails Press Conference With Ukraine President

Published

President Donald Trump went berserk while speaking to reporters during his first meeting with the president of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky. Trump attacked former President Barack Obama, his former Democratic presidential opponent Hillary Clinton, his current Democratic political opponent Joe Biden, and voiced support for Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Here’s Trump blaming President Obama – not President Putin – for Russia illegally invading and annexing Crimea, a part of Ukraine.

Trump also went nuts, rattling about his former Democratic political opponent Hillary Clinton and her emails.

“I think one of the great crimes that were committed, Hillary Clinton deleted 33,000 emails,” Trump says falsely.

He attacked his current top Democratic political opponent Joe Biden, and Biden’s son Hunter. Trump falsely suggested they both are “corrupt,” and suggested Hunter was illegally paid millions by China.

Trump outright solicited Zelensky to investigate Biden:

Trump went on to voice support for Russian president Vladimir Putin, telling the Ukraine president he hopes Zelensky will get together with Putin – the two countries are effectively at war – and work things out:

Here’s ABC News’ report, with Jon Karl asking if Trump is also talking with China about Biden:

Trump Provoked ‘Stunned Silence’ by Shouting ‘Where’s My Favorite Dictator’ at Meeting With Egyptian Officials: Report

Published

on

President Donald Trump shocked onlookers at the G7 meeting when he praised the president of Egypt as a dictator.

“Inside a room of the ornately decorated Hotel du Palais during last month’s Group of Seven summit in Biarritz, France, President Trump awaited a meeting with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi,” The Wall Street Journal reported Friday.

“Mr. Trump looked over a gathering of American and Egyptian officials and called out in a loud voice: ‘Where’s my favorite dictator?’ Several people who were in the room at the time said they heard the question,” the newspaper reported.

The paper could not determine if Sisi heard the remark.

“Even if lighthearted, Mr. Trump’s quip drew attention to an uncomfortable facet of the U.S.-Egypt relationship,” The Journal reported. “Mr. Sisi has drawn criticism for his authoritarian rule since taking power following a 2013 coup. Under Mr. Sisi, Egyptian authorities have been accused of detaining thousands of political opponents, of torturing and killing prisoners and of stymying political opposition, according to reports by the United Nations, U.S. State Department and nongovernmental groups.”

The paper said Steve Mnuchin, John Bolton and Larry Kudlow were in attendance.

“Within minutes of the quip, Mr. Sisi met Mr. Trump and reporters were allowed in. Mr. Trump, among other comments, celebrated his relationship with Mr. Sisi, noting that the two leaders had begun talking with each other soon after Mr. Trump won the presidential election in 2016,” the paper noted.
