“To the extent that it matters, I’m not gay,” Graham told a TMZ reporter while walking through Reagan National Airport Friday.
But he did not appear angry at Handler, who has previously used homosexuality to attack Graham, suggesting he is being blackmailed by Russia.
“It’s a free country, she can say what she wants, I don’t care,” Graham responded, implying he had not heard of her before. He also said that Handler “knows zero” about him.
It’s not the first time Graham has announced he is not gay.
Graham, who has a very aggressive anti-gay record – including comparing same-sex marriage to polygamy.
After years of attacking LGBT people and same-sex marriage, and after years of voting against LGBT civil rights, Graham now says America is “moving on from that.” It was unclear what exactly he meant.
