Denied: Baby President Ignored Until He Stops Tweeting Demands

Published

on

After more than a year and a half in office, you might have guessed Donald Trump would have figured out this whole “president” thing. But you’d be wrong.

As BuzzFeed showed in a new report Thursday night, Trump is often inept at achieving the most basic functions of his office, taking to Twitter when he should be going through official channels. And many in the government, BuzzFeed reports, have taken to just ignoring Trump’s tweets, even when they appear to be orders or directives.

One recent example of this phenomenon is Trump’s announcement that he was withdrawing the United States from the joint communique agreed to by the leaders at the G7 summit. He had initially signed on to the communique but later tweeted that he was pulling out because Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was mean to him.

“Since Trump’s tweet, however, there has been no formal or official follow-up by the US on the president’s demand, the sources, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said,” BuzzFeed reported.

“The White House and State Dept. are actively ignoring the tweets of the president,” a source reportedly told the outlet. “It’s like there’s a reality TV president, in his own bubble, thinking he controls stuff. It’s like The Truman Show.”

Because of that, it seems the Trump’s initial agreement to the communique stands, regardless of his tweet. A similar situation played out at first when Trump announced on Twitter that he was banning all transgender people from serving in the military, which came as a major shock to military leadership.

Eventually, the White House followed the tweet with an official memorandum, but the action has been blocked in court. The judge indicated that the government hadn’t provided any indication that the “ongoing service of transgender people would have any negative effective on the military at all.”

And just this week, Trump tweeted at Attorney General Jeff Sessions that he should end the Mueller probe. Sessions is apparently ignoring that directive, as well.

Trump Erupts in Fury Attacking Fox News for Not Rigging Poll That Shows Biden Would Beat Him

Published

on

President Donald Trump is blasting his favorite cable news channel for releasing a poll showing the current Democratic frontrunner would beat him in the 2020 race for the White House.

Fox News polls, according to Trump, are “at it again. So different from what they used to be during the 2016 Primaries,” he tweeted, saying they used to be “Proud Warriors!” for him.

“Now new Fox Polls, which have always been terrible to me (they had me losing BIG to Crooked Hillary), have me down to Sleepy Joe,” referring to former Vice President Joe Biden.

Trump, in fact, did lose “big” to Hillary Clinton, in the popular vote, which is what polls measure.

And he insists “there can be NO WAY, with the greatest Economy in U.S. history, that I can be losing to the Sleepy One.”

Not that it affected the poll, but Friday morning the federal government announced GDP growth slowed to 2.1% in the second quarter, down from 3.1%.

Trump Accuses FBI Officials Who Investigated Him of ‘Treason’ – After Being Told It’s a Death Penalty Crime

Published

on

President Donald Trump was asked about his recent accusations of “treason,” and on Thursday afternoon named the FBI officials involved in investigating him, claiming they are guilty of the capital crime.

The President, as The Washington Post notes, has no idea what the word actually means.

“Sir,” NBC News White House Correspondent Peter Alexander said to Trump, “the Constitution says treason is punishable by death.”

The President nodded.

“You’ve accused your adversaries of treason,” Alexander continued. “Who specifically are you accusing of treason?” he challenged.

“Well,” Trump, only too happy to entertain the question, said, “I think a number of people. And I think what you look is that they have unsuccessfully tried to take down the wrong person.”

Trying to “take down the wrong person” is not treason, despite the President’s propensity for equating himself with the federal government and with the country overall.

“If you look at Comey,” Trump added, referring to Jim Comey, the FBI Director who Trump fired, the act that kicked off the start of the Mueller investigation. “If you look at McCabe,” he said, referring to his former deputy director of the FBI.

“And if you look at people probably higher than that,” Trump said, an apparent attack on Attorney General Loretta Lynch, and President Barack Obama, who were both in charge when the Russia investigation (not the Mueller investigation) first began. Trump has previously, falsely accused them of spying on him and wiretapping him.

“If you look at Strzok, if you look at his lover Lisa Page, his wonderful lover. The two lovers,” Trump said, mockingly, referring to the former FBI attorney and to former Chief of the FBI’s Counterespionage Section Peter Strzok.

Calling it “an absolutely ridiculous assertion,” The Washington Post’s Phillip Bump writes, “unless Comey and McCabe raised an army to take on the U.S. military or provided direct aid to countries who are officially at war with the U.S. — countries to be named later — they didn’t commit treason. By definition.”

‘Tick Tock Sweetheart’: Terrified Trump Gets Mocked for Gaslighting About ‘High Crimes and Misdemeanors’

Published

on

Four days after the release of Attorney General William Barr’s redacted version of the Mueller report President Donald Trump is both claiming it exonerates him while attacking Mueller’s team and the report.

And now he’s gaslighting Americans about the meaning of “high crimes and misdemeanors,” and what acts rise to the level of impeachable offenses.

Trump is wrong on all counts. Notice, also, he’s neglected to include treason and bribery.

Article Two of the United States Constitution clearly states:

“The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.”

The Constitution does not define bribery, or “high Crimes and Misdemeanors.”

And the Mueller report in no way exonerated him, certainly not from obstruction – as much as he claims it did.

Meanwhile, if Democrats committed crimes, why is the Dept. of Justice not investigating  and prosecuting those “crimes”?

On social media, Trump’s tweet garnered a good deal of mockery – and attempts to educate the President on impeachment:
