GASLIGHTING AMERICA
‘Tariffs Are the Greatest!’: President ‘Very Stable Genius’ Threatens Nations Worldwide – Base Strangely Silent
“All Will Be Great!” Trump Falsely Promises as His Policies Harm His Base the Most
President Donald Trump continues his mission to disassemble the world order, Tuesday morning publishing a statement threatening every nation around the world – as well as American consumers – with economic retribution.
“Tariffs are the greatest!” Trump said in a statement via Twitter.
“Either a country which has treated the United States unfairly on Trade negotiates a fair deal, or it gets hit with Tariffs. It’s as simple as that – and everybody’s talking!” he observed, neglecting to note that the comments from world leaders are anything but positive.
“Remember, we are the ‘piggy bank’ that’s being robbed,” he added.
“All will be Great!” Trump promised.
Meanwhile, many of America’s farmers are suffering from the president’s tariffs, and the tariffs imposed on their goods sold overseas. About 40 percent of all U.S. agricultural products are exported. And Trump’s tariff war and protectionist policies mean lower prices for farmers.
Soybean farmers, for example, are getting the lowest prices in a decade.
And Trump’s steel tariffs are about to put the largest nail manufacturer in America out of business.
Part of the problem: Trump has no actual idea how markets work:

And this Washington Post blogger reminds that Trump’s policies hit his base hardest:
Trump forgot to tell you that his trade war is provoking *retaliatory* tariffs.
But his voters are learning this the hard way.

Free trade conservatives are oddly silent on this one. Do they value their bigotry more than their money? https://t.co/EFvnMP2pV1
