‘High Crimes & Misdemeanors’: Former CIA Director Labels Trump’s Remarks ‘Nothing Short of Treasonous’
‘He Is Wholly in the Pocket of Putin’
President Donald Trump has just created what may be the most worldwide outrage and shock and anger from Americans to date.
Standing next to Vladimir Putin, U.S. President Donald Trump announced he agrees with the Russian President, in direct contradiction of the unanimous findings of both the U.S. Intelligence services and the Dept. of Justice, that Russia did not interfere in the U.S. election.
Here’s just one of many part of Trump’s remarks:
Pres. Trump says intelligence community believes Russia was behind 2016 election interference, but Pres. Putin says Russia was not.
“I don’t see any reason why it would be…I have confidence in both parties.” https://t.co/7FI7q40h7C pic.twitter.com/MTSu5Xs1I1

Formert U.S. CIA Director John Brennan immediately posted this tweet, saying Trump’s remarks meet and exceed the bar of “high crimes & misdemeanors,” and summed them up as “treasonous.”
Donald Trump’s press conference performance in Helsinki rises to & exceeds the threshold of “high crimes & misdemeanors.” It was nothing short of treasonous. Not only were Trump’s comments imbecilic, he is wholly in the pocket of Putin. Republican Patriots: Where are you???

Minutes later Brennan spoke on MSNBC. A few quotes of his remarks:
“I thought there was nothing that Donald Trump could say,” that would surprise me, “but I was wrong.”
“It was outrageous.”
“He criticized American citizens, Sec. Clinton and others.”
“I cannot understand how the National Security team can continue to abide by this.”
“This rises to the point of good American patriots resigning,” he said, calling out by name Secretary of State Pompeo and others.
“One can only conclude that he fears Vladimir Putin.”
“Mr. Putin is the master puppeteer” of Donald Trump.
“Republican patriots all over the country, including in the Congress, where are you?”
