Giuliani: dozens more tapes of Cohen, Trump yet to be heard

On this week’s Face The Nation, Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani discussed the materials that federal investigators seized by former Trump lawyer Michael Cohen, seemingly causing more headaches for the president in the process.
When pressed by host Margaret Brennan on the number of times Donald Trump may be present in these materials, Giuliani seemed determined to be specific.
Let me see if I can make it about as clear as possible,” said Giuliani. “We know of something like 183 unique conversations on tape. One of those with the president of the United States. That’s the three-minute one involving the McDougal Payment.”
Karen McDougal is the former Playboy model that was apparently paid off by Michael Cohen in advance of the election, at Donald Trump’s request.
“There are 12 others — maybe 11 or 12 others — out of the 183 in which the president is discussed at any length by Cohen, mostly with reporters,” he added.
Giuliani then claims that all of these conversations are corroborated by Trump’s tweets about Cohen, and that Cohen made the payments not on behalf of the campaign, but out of his personal love for Donald and Melania Trump.
The first such tape seems to contradict Giuliani, with Cohen and Trump discussing the delay of documents pertaining to Trump’s divorce from his second wife, Ivana, until post-election.
It remains to be seen if these other tapes will help or harm the President.
