‘Beyond Parody’: Internet Skewers Melania Trump’s Slogan for New Program Focusing on Children
First Lady Melania Trump has finally unveiled what she will spend the remainder of her time in the White House on, a program she is calling “Be Best.”
The program is focused on teaching children to make good decisions, especially in the areas of “well-being, social media use, and opioid abuse,” she told reporters in an address from the Rose Garden.

While none doubt her sincerity, many mocked the name of the program, with some calling it infantile.
On social media, the reactions were definitely thumbs down:
this shit is absolutely beyond parody man pic.twitter.com/V8uysoPgtd

Melania's new campaign is called "Be Best." It should probably be "Be THE Best" but the Trumps like to ignore articles of all kinds: grammatical, journalistic, and constitutional.

Are we all going to pretend that Melania Trump's "Be Best" makes any sense at all?

As Melania Trump speaks about her "Be best" campaign, the White House's web page for the initiative is a "page not found"https://t.co/ZqGYMbjqi7

Oh, FFS. Be Best isn’t even grammatically correct. https://t.co/iyPkuyuHhU

"Be Best"……

I'm sorry, but "Be Best" sounds awkward, infantile, poor English. Be Your Best maybe. Be Best also implies competition, aiming to be better than everyone else. Yuck, bad choice, Melania Trump @FLOTUS

Melania's platform is "Be Best." Apparently she wants to distance herself from other first ladies who believed in literacy. (Be YOUR Best or Be THE Best.) #BeBest

"Be Best"? Is that missing a "Your" or something

Be Best? Is there no one in the White House that knows English?

Theory: Down to the name, Be Best was designed in rope-a-dope style for elites to viciously mock, to generate more anti-media blowback
