Trans Woman Commits Suicide After Being Bullied By The Daily Mail

Published

on

It was exactly three months ago that Richard Littlejohn published a piece in the Daily Mail (image, above,) viciously attacking Lucy Meadows, a primary school teacher in Britain. Littlejohn targeted Meadows because she’s transgender and had chosen to remain in her job as a teacher after beginning to present as a woman – this was the entire basis for his outrageous, unprovoked assault on her identity, her career, and her very life. It was vile and hateful in all the ways we’ve come to expect from a publication that, like much of the press these days, treats trans women as alternately ridiculous or a threat to society. It was quite literally intolerant of everything that Lucy Meadows was.

So it came as a surprise that the Daily Mail has completely removed any mention of Meadows from Littlejohn’s column. What happened? Did they suffer a sudden attack of morality, three months later? No. Their decision was based on something much darker than conscience.

Lucy Meadows reportedly killed herself this week.

Three months ago, Richard Littlejohn chose to single her out, a woman who had done absolutely nothing wrong, and tear her life apart in one of Britain’s biggest papers. Richard Littlejohn chose to refer to her as “he,” and include only photos of her from before she had begun to live openly as a woman. He called her existence “devastating” to the children under her care:

But has anyone stopped for a moment to think of the devastating effect all this is having on those who really matter? Children as young as seven aren’t equipped to compute this kind of information.

He said that Meadows’ students needed to be “protected” from her by their school:

It should be protecting pupils from some of the more, er, challenging realities of adult life, not forcing them down their throats.

He called her a threat to their innocence:

These are primary school children, for heaven’s sake. Most them still believe in Father Christmas. Let them enjoy their childhood. They will lose their innocence soon enough.

He attacked her very name:

Why should they be forced to deal with the news that a male teacher they have always known as Mr Upton will henceforth be a woman called Miss Meadows? Anyway, why not Miss Upton?

And he told her to “disappear” and move out of town:

It would have been easy for him to disappear quietly at Christmas, have the operation and then return to work as ‘Miss Meadows’ at another school on the other side of town in September. No-one would have been any the wiser.

Well, she’s disappeared now. Lucy Meadows is dead. Are you happy with yourselves, Daily Mail? Are you proud that you used your platform as a national publication to rip open the life of an innocent woman and put her deeply personal struggles on display for an audience of millions? Are you satisfied now that you’ve “exposed” a woman who wanted nothing more than to teach the students she knew and cared for? Did you ever think about how it would feel to be Lucy Meadows at the moment when your paper chose to label her as forever “male” and a threat to her own students? Obviously that didn’t deter you from publishing this disgusting, horrible column in the first place. So why bother hiding your deeds now?

What’s one life next to the opportunity for yet another vacuous, melodramatic headline about transsexuals?

Trump Says No Other President Would Take Cognitive Test He ‘Aced’ Three Times Straight

Published

on

President Donald Trump is bragging that he has taken yet another cognitive test, claiming he “aced” it, and insisting that no other president or vice president has ever been willing to take one.

“The White House Doctors have just reported that I am in ‘perfect health,’ and that I ‘aced’ (Meaning, was correct on 100% of the questions asked!), for the third straight time, my Cognitive Examination, something which no other President, or previous Vice President, was willing to take,” Trump wrote Friday morning on Truth Social.

“P.S., I strongly believe that anyone running for President, or Vice President, should be mandatorily forced to take a strong, meaningful, and proven Cognitive Examination. Our great Country cannot be run by ‘STUPID’ or INCOMPETENT PEOPLE!,” he added.

Trump’s insistence comes just one day after The Wall Street Journal published a deep look at the president’s health alleging he is “showing signs of aging in public and private.”

“Trump’s staff have also counseled him to try to keep his eyes open during public events, fearing the optics of his appearing to fall asleep, a person familiar with the matter said,” the Journal also reported.

The president is being mocked over his Truth Social post, with some commentators on social media point out that no other president has had to take one — and that a cognitive test is not an IQ test.

Trump posts claim that he ‘aced’ his third cognitive exam.. Forgetting that he already announced this exact claim last month…” wrote professor and investor Adam Cochran.

“Whether it’s Barack Obama being the editor of Harvard Law Review or Donald Trump narrowly passing a cognitive test used to detect dementia, there’s plenty of serious intellectual accomplishments on both sides of the aisle,” remarked NYTPitchbot, a well-known political parody account with nearly a quarter-million followers.

“Poor guy,” charged Džamila Stehlíková, a Prague-based politician and a doctor, according to Google Translate. “Trump boasts that he has ‘passed’ a cognitive test for the third time, which is actually a primitive test to rule out dementia that even a 10-year-old schoolchild can handle.”

“The need to boast about his intellect stems from Trump’s well-founded fear of intellectual failure,” she alleged, according to the translation.

Mike Johnson Brags About House Accomplishments When It Broke Record For Fewest Bills Passed

Published

on

Speaker of the House Mike Johnson (R-LA) took to X to brag about what he and his fellow House Republicans accomplished in 2025, despite Congress passing a record low number of bills.

In 2025, the @HouseGOP  delivered real results and one of the most consequential Republican agendas in history. We passed 441 America FIRST bills, codified 70 of @POTUS‘s Executive Orders, and rolled back dozens of disastrous Biden-era regulations — and we’re just getting started,” Johnson wrote.

The tweet included a short video laying out things House Republicans have done. In addition to the items listed in the tweet, the video gives credit to the GOP for having “secured the southern border,” “cut billions in wasteful government spending,” “protected women’s and girls’ sports,” and “passed bills to lower health care premiums for all Americans.”

While Johnson brags about the accomplishments of the House under his leadership, the House set records for inactivity. The 119th Congress passed fewer than 40 bills this year, which the Washington Post reports as a record for the lowest legislative output in the first year of a presidency. Johnson’s House also set a record for fewest votes cast at 362.

The House was also shut down for the longest time in history this year—43 days. The shutdown was an attempt to force a vote on a temporary funding bill. In addition to the shutdown, Johnson prematurely took the House into recess this summer in an attempt to avoid a vote on compelling the Department of Justice to release all files on sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. And this month, he again adjourned the House before a plan could be voted on to cover expiring health care tax credits, despite many Republicans pushing for a vote.

Though the 119th Congress broke records for inactivity, so too did the last Congress. The 118th Congress passed fewer than 150 bills across its two-year term, according to Axios. The Speaker of the House for the majority of the Congress was again Johnson, who replaced previous speaker Kevin McCarthy after nine months in the position.

Despite Trump Promising to Cut Drug Prices by ‘1,500%’, 350 Medicines to Become More Expensive

Published

on

Despite President Donald Trump repeatedly making the absurd promise of cutting drug prices by “1,500%”—meaning that people would be paid to get their medicines—major drug manufacturers are intending to raise prices on 350 medications.

Medicines expected to see a rise in costs include COVID vaccines and a cancer treatment, according to reporting by Reuters. Last year, about 250 drugs got a price increase. That increase was about 4%, which is the median increase of the new prices this year.

The news comes almost two weeks after the White House announced new agreements meant to give Americans the “most-favored-nation” price. The MFN price is the same as the “lowest prices paid by other developed nations,” the Trump administration said in a statement. However, it appears the lower prices will apply only to the government’s TrumpRx prescription drug marketplace.

“Patients will be able to see massive price reductions on numerous products when purchasing directly through TrumpRx as a result of today’s actions,” the White House said.

While at least 350 drugs are going to get a price bump, about nine drugs are expected to get a price cut. Those include the anti-diabetes drug Jardiance, which is expected to have its price slashed by 40%. Jardiance is one of 10 drugs the White House negotiated a lower price for.

Critics of the plan point out that while TrumpRX may see lower prices, it may not hold for all consumers.

“These deals are being announced as transformative when, in fact, they really just nibble around the margins in terms of what is really driving high prices for prescription drugs in the U.S.,” Dr. Benjamin Rome, a health policy researcher at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, told Reuters.

He added that manufacturers appear to be setting two prices: one for direct-to-consumer sales and a negotiated price for insurance companies.

The Centre for Economic Policy Research agrees with Dr. Rome, saying that the main reason behind high drug prices is patent monopolies, according to The Hill.
