One In Four Republicans Still Believe Obama Not Born In America – Gallup
One in four Republicans still believe that Barack Obama was not born in America, according to a study just released by Gallup. The study shows 23% of Republicans are still “birthers,” and say Obama was definitely or probably born in another country, and only 49% of Republicans say Obama was definitely or probably in the U.S.A., even after the President released his long-form birth certificate on April 27, more than one week before the Gallup poll was taken.
Overall, 13% of Americans still say Obama was probably or definitely born in another country. Gallup adds that “one in five Americans still say they don’t know enough to say one way or the other.”
