At Debate, Paladino ONLY Anti-Marriage Equality Candidate For NY Governor
At tonight’s ninety-minute debate among the seven candidates for New York governor, Tea Party-supported GOP candidate Carl Paladino (photo) was the only candidate who said he did not support “gay marriage.” Democrat Andrew Cuomo’s response, “I strongly support gay marriage,” won shouts and loud applause from the audience.
One other candidate, from the Freedom Party, said his party did not have a position on same-sex marriage. Every other candidate readily supported same-sex marriage.
In other Paladino-related news, at tonight’s debate, Kristin Davis, the former Manhattan Madam now running as a Libertarian, warned, if taxes are raised, “businesses will leave this state faster than Carl Paladino at a gay bar!”
And Paladino himself warned, should he be elected Governor, he would “dismember” the NY Department of Education.
I suppose, when you threaten to take a baseball bat to take apart Albany, “dismembering” is a natural result…
