Liz Cheney Hypocritically Blasts Dems for Marjorie Taylor Greene Expulsion: GOP ‘Not the Party of QAnon’ or Neo-Nazis

U.S. Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY), the third most powerful Republican in the House of Representatives, hypocritically blasted Democrats after the House voted 230-199 to strip Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) of her committee assignments. Only 11 Republicans joined with Democrats to sanction Greene over her racist and anti-Semitic conspiracy theories, dangerous lies, and support for the assassination of Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

Accusing Democrats of abusing their power, Cheney released a statement falsely claiming “Republicans are not the party of QAnon conspiracy theorists, white supremacists, Holocaust deniers, or neo-Nazis. These views are evil.”

Republicans are the party of those vile and dangerous movements and beliefs.

Ironically Cheney, who won a victory less than 24 hours earlier after far right Republicans lost an attempt to have her expelled from her leadership position, insisted it is the responsibility of Republicans “to address these issues inside our own conference.”

It is, but they did not, thanks to House Republican Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy.

‘Could Be a Civil War’: MAGAites Refuse to Accept Biden Will Be Inaugurated President – ‘Show Us the Ballots’

Some of President Donald Trump’s supporters are refusing to accept that Joe Biden won the November 2020 election and will be inaugurated president on January 20, after listening to months of lies from Trump, the Trump campaign, and right wing media.

One maskless Republican interviewed by CNN (video below) said he would never accept Joe Biden as his president, but when pressed, went further –  much further.

“You accept he’s going to be inaugurated?” CNN’s Donie O’Sullivan asked.

“No I don’t,” cried the man, wearing a “Trump 2020 The Sequel” sweatshirt that also read: “Make Liberals Cry Again.”

“I mean, how could that change at this point?” O’Sullivan, somewhat exasperated, asked.

“There could be a civil war, you never know,” claimed the devout Trump supporter, standing next to a woman with a “Stop the Steal” sign.

“You don’t actually want a civil war, do you?” the reporter pressed.

“I don’t,” he claimed. “Show us the voting machines, show us the ballots. Show us that this was a fair election, or we’ll never accept a vote again, ever,” he threatened, pointing his finger in defiance.

It’s unclear what that Trump supporter thinks he would do or find if he were actually presented with the voting machines and the ballots. Despite what he’s heard on Fox News, OAN, or Newsmax, or read in right wing media or Facebook, the election was fair and all of the pro-Trump false claims have been thoroughly and repeatedly debunked.

Earlier in the segment one woman insisted “Trump is the next president,” and another declared, “I’m going to the inauguration for Trump. I booked it before the election,” while claiming she has faith “he’s going to be elected.”

Joe Biden won the election by a more than 7 million popular vote margin, with 306 Electoral College votes, which have been certified by all 50 states. Biden has won in more than 60 court challenges upheld by 90 judges across the country.

Trump Speaks Regarding Soleimani: ‘We Caught Him in the Act and Terminated Him’

President Donald J. Trump took to the podium Friday afternoon to discuss the surprise attack and killing on Iranian General Qassem Soleimani. Trump is currently traveling to Miami for the launch of the Evangelicals for Trump coalition.

“We caught him in the act and terminated him,” Trump said, adding that “we take comfort in knowing his reign of terror is over.”

He added, “We took action last night to stop a war. We did not take action to start a war.”

In addition to Soleimani, the drone strike also killed Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, the deputy commander of Iran-backed militias known as the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF).

Trump Claims Accomplishments, Ignores Realities

President Donald Trump

President Trump has again claimed, via Twitter, to have done more than any past president, while blaming the “hostile and corrupt media” for holding him back.

His tweet comes just two days after a report from the U.S. Department of Labor showed that the economy only added 20,000 new jobs, compared to the 180,000 that had been estimated.

The Trump “best economy” has largely been thanks to holdovers from the previous administration, though this is showing signs of slowing due to issues such as trumps trade war with China and other countries, leading to financial crises amongst farmers and others.

The “biggest tax” cuts touted in the tweet have also affected economic stability, as the majority of the cuts have favored the highly wealthy at the expense of others, many of which have found themselves paying more in taxes in 2019 as a result.

President Trump has seen other accomplishments that he rarely seems to tout on Twitter, including a large number of indictments of government officials — more than his predecessors — as well as a record number of convictions.

He has also locked up more immigrant children than other recent Presidents: while accurate numbers are difficult to come by , in large part due to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) lacking an accurate database to track the families they have separated, a New York Times report from September 2018 put the number near 12,800. It has only risen since then.

The Trump presidency has also seen a staggering rise in hate groups, according to the Southern Poverty Law Center. The number of hate groups in the United States has risen to a 20-year high during the Trump presidency.
