Don Jr. Filmed the Trump Family’s Pre-Insurrection Watch Party Capturing the President Before His Incitement Speech

Published

on

Before President Donald Trump took to the stage to deliver a highly-produced speech inciting an armed and deadly violent insurrection by thousands of his supporters the president’s son, Donald Trump, Jr., filmed the family’s backstage “March to Save America” watch party.

In addition to Donald Jr., caught on camera are President Trump, Eric Trump, White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, and Don Jr.’s girlfriend, Kimberly Guilfoyle, dancing to “Gloria,” among others.

In another clip of the same event, possibly being broadcast live, Guilfoyle tells the Trump MAGA crowd watching to “fight,” while Don Jr. praises Meadows as “an actual fighter, a real fighter.”

The full video is shocking. It shows the President surveying the massive crowd on large TV screens. They all appear to be in a tent near the stage where President Trump minutes later would promise the thugs and already ginned-up supporters, “I’ll never concede.”

Trump in that speech told supporters to “walk down to the Capitol,” promising them he would be by their sides. (He was not.)

“We are going to cheer on our brave senators and congressmen and women,” Trump told them. Telegraphing who they should target, he added, “and we are probably not going to be cheering so much for some of them — because you will never take back our country with weakness.”

“We will never give up. We will never concede. It will never happen. You don’t concede when there’s death involved. Our country has had enough. We will not take it anymore.”

Don Jr. posted the full watch party video to Facebook. (It is not embeddable.)

Minutes after he appears on-camera in his son’s video – which Jr. is using to sell his latest book – the President would tell his already ginned-up supporters, “All of us here today do not want to see our election victory stolen by emboldened radical Democrats.”

Less than two hours after he posted the video to Facebook Trump Jr. would post this tweet, claiming that it’s Democrats, not Republicans, who are violent. (He has not tweeted since.) Note that he doesn’t tell the insurrectionists to go home.

‘Do You Realize You Are Describing a Coup?’: Trump Aide Peter Navarro Describes How They Tried to ‘Overturn’ the Election

Published

Top Trump White House aide Peter Navarro on live, national television Tuesday evening explained how he and Trump allies were plotting to overturn the free and fair 2020 presidential election.

Speaking very candidly and openly to MSNBC host and chief legal correspondent Ari Melber, Navarro got so detailed in how they were trying the keep Trump in office despite the will of the voters that Melber was forced to interject, saying, “Do you realize you are describing a coup?”

Navarro insisted that was not the case.

At another point in Navrro’s rambling interview, Melber was again forced to interject, this time saying, “People like you are who the Constitution is trying to stop.”

“We have an entire system designed to thwart … people like you.”

Navarro has been promoting his new book. The Washington Post‘s Aaron Blake in response to its revelations on Tuesday wrote: “We’ve reached the ‘Yeah, it was pretty much an attempted coup, so what?’ stage of the Jan. 6 probe.” He calls Navarro’s revelations “further confirmation that the Trump team’s brazen attempt to overturn the 2020 election result was what we thought it was.”

Calls Mount for January 6 Commission After GOP’s Kinzinger Reveals McCarthy Ignored His Warning of Likely Violence

Published

on

Congressman Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) revealed on Monday he had warned House GOP Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy that the words and actions of the Republican Party and its leaders would lead to violence on January 6.

“A few days before Jan 6, our GOP members had a conference call,” Kinzinger tweeted. “I told Kevin that his words and our party’s actions would lead to violence on January 6th. Kevin dismissively responded with ‘ok Adam, operator next question.’ And we got violence.”

It is a monumental revelation, given the degree of violence, death, and destruction the nation saw unfold that day, as Trump supporters literally hunted down the Vice President and Speaker of the House in an attempted coup incited by the then-president of the United States. Hundreds have been arrested and charged, with more to come, according to DOJ.

House Republicans so far have managed to block a widely-discussed 9/11-style commission to determine the full scope of illegal and treasonous actions that led up to the January 6 insurrection.

But Kinzinger’s announcement today has renewed calls for a January 6 commission, and made McCarthy the target of calls for him to step down.

It appears the commission may yet happen now:

Here’s how many are responding to Congressman Kinzinger’s revelation:

Watch: Kevin McCarthy Squirms as Chris Wallace Grills Him on Trump’s Seditious Behavior on Jan. 6

Published

on

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) on Sunday disputed allegations that President Donald Trump reached out to him to coordinate an alibi after the Capitol was attacked by Trump-supporting insurrectionists on Jan. 6.

Fox News host Chris Wallace confronted McCarthy about a telephone call he had with Trump soon after the attack on the Capitol was underway.

“Well, Kevin, I guess these people are more upset about the election than you are,” Trump reportedly told McCarthy at the time, according to Rep. Herrera Beutler (R-WA).

“Is she right?” Wallace asked. “Is that what President Trump said to you?”

“What he ended the call, was saying — telling me he’ll put something out to make sure to stop this [riot],” McCarthy said. “And that’s what he did. He put a video out later.”

“Quite a lot later,” Wallace pointed out. “And it was a pretty weak video. But I’m asking you specifically. Did he say to you, some people are more concerned about the election than you are?”

“No, listen,” McCarthy replied. “My conversations with the president are my conversations with the president. I engaged in the idea of making sure we could stop what was going on inside the Capitol at that moment in time. The president said he would help.”

Wallace pressed: “Has the president ever reached out to you since that report came out to discuss what you and he talked about in the January 6th phone call? And did you say to him, ‘I can’t because we’re under oath.'”

“No,” McCarthy stated.

“That never happened?” Wallace asked.

“That’s never happened,” McCarthy insisted. “Never even close.”

“And if it did happen, you would agree that would be witness tampering?” Wallace observed.

“Yeah, but it never happened!” McCarthy said. “Never even came close, never had any conversation like that.”
