White House (Finally) Puts Out Mild Statement on Vile ‘Trump’ Slaughtering the Media Video – Gets Quickly Slapped Down

The White House has finally put out a “statement” of sorts in response to a vile video depicting a fake “Donald Trump” violently slaughtering the media and other top Trump targets, several top Democrats including Rep. Maxine Waters, Sen. Bernie Sanders, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Republicans including the late Sen. John McCain, and Sen. Mitt Romney, and Black Lives Matter.
The clip was played at an event for Trump supporters held at Trump’s Miami golf resort. Donald Trump Jr. and former Trump press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders reportedly were present at the event.
At 8:26 AM ET Trump press secretary Stephanie Grisham posted a short tweet, almost as an offhand memo.
“Re: the video played over the weekend: The @POTUS @realDonaldTrump has not yet seen the video, he will see it shortly, but based upon everything he has heard, he strongly condemns this video.”
Trump, who repeatedly has called the press “enemy of the people,” had been tweeting up a storm overnight when the news broke, and again this morning.
Many were quick to respond to Grisham’s milquetoast remarks while some questioned the White House claim he had not seen it, asking if not, why not.
His son spoke at the event at which it was played, but yeah, I’m sure it never came up. https://t.co/stWtH53rwH

What has he ever done that would in any way indicate that this video, made by his supporters, would not please him?

I’ll give 3/1 he tweets it out within the next 4 hours https://t.co/xQ6DI0C7H1

Why tell us now that he’s not seen it but will see it shortly (it’s a very short clip)? Why not wait until he’s seen it?
Unless he’s actually seen it, perhaps many times, loved it showing @ conference, as did Jr, who spoke there, but you want us to think he hasn’t ever seen it.

Yes, but does he strenuously object? https://t.co/NJspOQRtpx pic.twitter.com/rRzjudN0Yy

And when you say “strongly condemns”, what you mean is “thinks it’s hilarious”. https://t.co/sW4I3KeGDy

I don’t believe a word you say.

Be honest for once in your career. This is exactly the kind of shit he loves. Like the CNN “wrestling” bit on steroid. Bet he laughed his ass off over this one. https://t.co/I7UL2mHnp3

Prediction: Trump’s “condemnation” of the video will be half-hearted and undercut by “both-sidesism” https://t.co/LSFfEl90oB

I assume sarah sandwich saw it? She spoke at the conference?

We’re going to need Trump to condemn it himself. Not his Press Sec – who collects a taxpayer funded paycheck and has never held a single daily briefing – via Twitter. Your words and tweets mean nothing when you don’t have the respect to face the public and press directly.

Oh cut the shit. There’s at least a 50/50 chance he will pin it by the end of the day.

He has posted videos before of CNN being violently attacked. Nice try Stephanie.

20 minutes from now he’s gonna retweet it or at the very least make a positive reference to it. Just wait.
NOBODY believes that he wouldn’t be gleeful over this video when he’s shared cartoons of the “Trump train” hitting CNN and the like plenty of times. I mean, come on. https://t.co/Yp76qNeyAC
