In yet another scorching column for the Daily Beast, GOP consultant Rick Wilson used Donald Trump’s obsession with maintaining he was correct about Hurricane Dorian hitting Alabama as evidence that he gone completely off the rails and into his reality.
According to Wilson, “That bellowing you hear from the Oval Office may sound like the rantings of a kooky slowcoach accidental president of limited cognitive abilities. You could ascribe it to his obsessions and twitching, reflexive rages over even the slightest correction or disagreement as an act. We could blame it all on whatever slurry of toupee worms, mental illness, creeping dementia, tertiary syphilis, scurvy, and windmill cancer occupies his wee noggin, but it’s so much more, and it’s so much worse.”
Noting what has become known as “Sharpiegate,” after the president was busted for altering an official weather map to make his point about Alabama, Wilson said it is evidence of the president’s decline.
“Trump has entered the eccentric dictator phase of his presidency, so strap in,” he warned. “From Stalin to Mao to Mugabe to Pol Pot to Saddam to Trump’s sleepover bestie Kim Jong Un, Donald’s defining emotion is not contempt, but envy. These men enjoyed the life of power, wealth, control and freedom from accountability that fills Trump’s political spank bank.”
Wilson also noted Trump’s often-expressed desire to stay in office in perpetuity, writing, “Trump’s joking references to a third term are growing in number and intensity, and some part of his rat-nest consciousness is thinking, “I bet I could get away with it.” The 2020 efforts to kill off the Republican primary to clear the field for Trump are a preview. I mean, why bother with elections when there’s so much winning going on? ”
Then he brought the hammer down.
“While First Term Donald’s modesty keeps him stuck in off-the-rack Brioni tater sack-cut suits with a skosh more room in the seat and thigh, Second Term Donald is going all out,” he wrote. “Doesn’t the POTUS with the mostest deserve his own Commander in Chief uniform? Something with hella epaulets and gold braid? The designers will need to leave plenty of room for medals; let no man forget his heroism at the Battle of the Bowling Green, his Defense of Alabama Service Cross with Sharpie Cluster, and his Purple Shart with Bone Spurs Device.”

‘About as High a Crime and Misdemeanor as One Can Imagine’ Former DOJ Official Muses After Latest Whistleblower Bombshell
A former top Obama Dept. of Justice official just weighed in on The Washington Post’s latest bombshell involving an intelligence official’s whistleblower complaint against President Donald Trump, repeated actions involving a “promise” to a foreign leader, and the new development that it involves Ukraine.
The Trump White House, through the Acting Director of National Intelligence, is refusing to hand over to Congress the whistleblower complaint, despite very clear law saying he “shall” do so.
Former DOJ chief spokesperson Matthew Miller, now an MSNBC justice and security analyst, responded to a tweet detailing the Post’s latest reporting from its national security correspondent.
“If [Trump] was promising U.S. government action in exchange for a foreign government targeting a political [opponent], that is about as high a crime and misdemeanor as one can imagine.”

‘Continuing Cover-Up’: Top House Democrat Catches Lewandowski Making Statement That Differs From Mueller Report
“The American people deserve to know the truth.”
A top House Democrat appears to have caught former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski making a statement that differs with a fact in the Mueller report. Lewandowski has spent several hours stonewalling, obfuscating, and doing his best to disrupt the Judiciary Committee on Tuesday in what is the first official House impeachment inquiry hearing.
“You stated earlier today that President Trump asked you to take dictation ‘many times.’ Is that correct?” Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) asked Lewandowski.
“It is,” the former campaign manager responded.
“But on page 91 volume 2 of the Mueller report it states, ‘The president then asked Lewandowski to deliver a message to [Attorney General] Sessions and said, ‘write this down.’ This was the first time the president had asked Lewandowski to take dictation.’ The first time,” Jeffries said, emphasizing the obvious discrepancy in his testimony Tuesday.
“Those are not my words, Congressman, those are the investigator’s words,” Lewandowski replied.
“Right,” Jeffries responded. “Did you lie to Mueller or are you lying to us?”
“I didn’t lie,” Lewandowski insisted.
“OK. You’re not really here to tell the truth,” Jeffries, who also chairs the House Democratic Caucus, accused. “You are here to participate in a continuing cover-up.”
“Russia interfered with this election in sweeping and systematic fashion, the Trump campaign welcomed that assistance at the highest level,” Jeffries said, at which point Lewandowski turned his head away. “There were subsequent acts of obstruction of justice with respect to the investigation. The American people deserve to know the truth.”
One Vox reporter called it a “demonstrable lie,” and Popular.info’s Judd Legum says Lewandowski “either just lied to Congress or lied to Mueller.”
Democrats should insists on getting the transcript of Lewandowski’s interview with Mueller’s team to determine whether or not he perjured himself.

Internet Cheers ‘Real President’ Hillary Clinton for ‘Eviscerating’ Trump Over Lie Google ‘Manipulated’ Millions of Votes
Hillary Clinton has been pretty quiet lately, perhaps sitting in her Chappaqua home with Bill and doing whatever it is former Secretaries of State and former Presidents do.
But a tweet President Donald Trump posted Monday moved her to enter the spotlight once again, if only for a moment.
Trump posted a huge lie, a claim that somehow search and advertising behemoth Google “manipulated” up to 16 million more votes for Hillary Clinton. It’s so preposterous that it’s already been debunked, but don’t expect a Trump retraction.
“Wow, Report Just Out! Google manipulated from 2.6 million to 16 million votes for Hillary Clinton in 2016 Election! This was put out by a Clinton supporter, not a Trump Supporter! Google should be sued. My victory was even bigger than thought!” Trump tweeted.
Again, it’s false, as The Washington Post’s Philip Bump explains.
Clinton was not going to let her popular vote win be stolen from her, so she launched an attack decimating Trump – or at least his tweet, while reminding voters that a lot of Trump’s associates have been charged with crimes.
The debunked study you’re referring to was based on 21 undecided voters. For context that’s about half the number of people associated with your campaign who have been indicted. https://t.co/0zHnWvGjSv
