Internet Baffled by Melania’s Bizarre ‘Wall of Valium’ Tweet
Saturday the White House attempted to get behind National Take Back Day — where people are encouraged to turn in their unwanted medications to “take back” locations set up by local law enforcement agencies — with a tweet accompanied by a bizarre photo of first lady Melania Trump that seemed more appropriate for a Vogue photo spread.
The White House has made great efforts to promote the first lady as being at the forefront of fighting back against the opiate crisis, which was likely the reason behind the tweet that read “It’s @DEAHQ National Take Back Day! As you safeguard your household from unneeded prescription drugs, read @ONDCP Director Jim Carroll’s op-ed on preventing drug abuse BEFORE it starts,” without explaining why they used a photo of Melania Trump.
Needless to say, Twitter users were puzzled about the photo of President Donald Trump’s wife as well as criticizing the White House for ignoring other societal ills.
