‘Poor Man’s J. Edgar Hoover’: Trump Attacks ‘Disgraced’ Andrew McCabe on News Mueller Report May Come Soon

President Donald Trump strongly attacked former Acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe, as news came out that Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation may be wrapped up and a report may be given to Attorney General William Barr as early as next week.
In what appeared to be a rehearsed remark, the President called McCabe a “poor man’s J. Edgar Hoover,” and claimed the former Acting FBI Director has been “disgraced,” while insisting he had nothing to do with McCabe’s firing.
“I’m very proud to say we caught him,” Trump told reporters Wednesday afternoon, as if McCabe had been on the FBI’s “Most Wanted” list, which he was not.
President Trump’s number one goal seems clear: try to discredit anything and anyone associated with the Mueller report.
McCabe was fired after an Inspector General’s report found he had not been fully forthcoming about speaking to reporters. McCabe disputes that charge and says he will be suing the FBI.
McCabe has been making the rounds on news networks, talking about stunning details in his new book.
