Kellyanne Conway’s Husband Hilariously Shames Rudy Giuliani’s Latest Excuse for Trump’s Lawless Actions

Published

on

George Conway, the husband of White House counselor Kellyanne Conway, hilariously shamed Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani’s latest excuse for President Donald Trump breaking the law.

After Giuliani on Friday brushed off Trump being implicated in felony campaign finance violations by arguing that nobody got “killed” or “robbed” as a result of those crimes, Conway cleverly made revisions to the oath of office that Trump had to take before becoming the president.

“I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States, except where nobody gets killed or robbed,” Conway wrote.

Conway on Thursday night made waves when he seemingly subtweeted his own wife, who had just finished a disastrous interview with CNN’s Chris Cuomo in which she was called out for lying about things the president had said in the past about his own knowledge of the hush-money payment scheme orchestrated by former “fixer” Michael Cohen in the weeks leading up to the 2016 election.

WATCH: Buttigieg Destroys Trump as Draft Dodger Who ‘Used His Privileged Status to Fake a Disability’

Published

Calls Commander-in-Chief “a child of a multi-millionaire” who pretended “to be disabled so that somebody could go to war in his place.”

Pete Buttigieg launched a series of attacks against President Donald Trump Thursday morning, accusing the Commander-in-Chief of faking a disability to evade military service and being a racist.

“I have a pretty dim view of his decision to use his privileged status to fake a disability in order to avoid serving in Vietnam,” Buttigieg, a top-tier 2020 Democratic presidential candidate, told The Washington Post’s Robert Costa during a live, on-stage forum. “I think that’s exactly what he did.”

Costa had been asking Buttigieg if he’d be able to handle Trump during a debate on stage. The South Bend mayor reminded Costa that not only is he gay but he grew up in Indiana, so he has experience with bullies. Buttigieg said Trump needs to be managed like a crazy uncle.

“Look, I don’t have a problem standing up to somebody who was working on season 7 of ‘Celebrity Apprentice’ while I was packing my bags for Afghanistan,” Buttigieg, who served as a Lieutenant overseas, replied.

“This is somebody, who I think it’s fairly obvious to most of us, took advantage of the fact that he was a child of a multi-millionaire, in order to pretend to be disabled, so that somebody could go to war in his place,” Buttigieg charged.

Watch: Buttigieg Says He’d Like to See Pence ‘Evolve’ on LGBT Rights – and Not Use Religion ‘To Harm People’

Published

“My problem is when those religious beliefs are used as an excuse to harm other people,” Buttigieg charges.

2020 Democratic candidate Pete Buttigieg is responding to attacks from Vice President Mike Pence, who says the South Bend, Indiana mayor’s belief that God makes people gay infringes on his First Amendment right to freedom of religion.

The Vice President is “entitled to his religious beliefs,” says Buttigieg, who has been mayor since 2012, which includes Pence’s tenure as Governor of Indiana. “My problem is when those religious beliefs are used as an excuse to harm other people,” Buttigieg explained on CNN Tuesday (video below).

Buttigieg reminded viewers that Pence “advanced a discriminatory bill in 2015, under the guise of religious freedom, that said it was lawful to discriminate, provided you invoked religion as your excuse.”

“This isn’t about him as a human being,” Buttigieg added, apparently pushing back against Pence’s false claim that Buttigieg has attacked him personally.

“This is about policies that hurt people, policies that hurt children,” says the South Bend mayor, who would turn 39 the day before being sworn in to office should he win the Democratic nomination and beat Donald Trump.

Buttigieg charges that “to this day” the Vice President “hasn’t brought himself to say that it shouldn’t be legal to discriminate against people in this country because they’re LGBT.”

He notes that Pence “seems to be OK” with allowing LGBT people to be denied housing and services, and to be fired because they are LGBT.

“I would love to see him evolve on that issue,” Buttigieg said, noting that it’s “part of faith, that all of us can evolve and can grow better.”

Buttigieg, who served in the U.S. Navy as a Lieutenant in Afghanistan, also accused Pence of being against “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” because “he felt it was too pro-gay. He wanted to make sure that even closeted members couldn’t serve.”

He also called on Vice President Pence to “clear up” his positions against LGBT equality and civil rights.

‘He’s Projecting His Own Unruliness’: Pelosi Blasts Trump’s Cries of ‘Presidential Harassment’ (Video)

Published

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi is pushing back against President Donald Trump‘s repeated attacks on the Democrats’ investigations into his financial dealings.

Speaker Pelosi strongly disputed President Trump’s claim that investigating him is “presidential harassment,” when asked by a reporter if she is concerned Democrats are going too far.

“I am not commenting on what the President has to say about our work,” Pelosi said at a Thursday morning press conference. “I always think whatever the president says about us, he is projecting his own unruliness. He’s a projector and that’s what it is about.”

The Speaker also offered some advice:

“When the president says that the Mueller investigation is going on too long, you just say back to him: ‘Not as long as your tax audit, Mr. President.'”
