Roy Moore: What’s Happening to Brett Kavanaugh Is the Same Thing That Happened to Me

Failed Republican Senate nominee Roy Moore is speaking out against Democrats and insisting Republicans stand up and defend against the allegations facing Judge Brett Kavanaugh. And he’s claiming that what’s happening to Kavanaugh is just like what happened to him last year.
In an interview with the far right wing media outlet One News Now (ONN) Moore says Republicans “need to take a stand. I think they need to do what their conscience dictates. They know what’s happening. It’s so obvious that these tactics are used just days before a very important event … but these come up right before an election or a confirmation, and I think the Republicans need to take a stand,” as ThinkProgress reported.
Moore, who was kicked out of his job as the chief justice of the Alabama Supreme Court – twice – lost his Senate election bid after being credibly accused of a variety of inappropriate and sexual acts, including alleged child sexual assault, by eight women, who were 14 to 28 years old at the time of his alleged actions. Moore was in his 30’s when they say he tried to date them, have sex with them, grope them, or sexually assault them.
On his “Stand with Judge Roy Moore” Facebook page, Moore reposted a supporter’s post that says, “Pray for Kavanaugh. They are Trying to ‘Judge Moore’ Him with Unproven Sex Assault Claims. Just Like the Swamp Did Judge Roy Moore!”
ONN reported that Moore “says Democrats are weaponizing these accusations against conservative candidates.”
Here’s the astonishing report from ONN:
