HOMOPHOBIA
NY Times Under Fire for Homophobic Animation of ‘Forbidden Romance’ Between Trump and Putin (Video)
‘Makes Homosexuality a Punchline’
The New York Times is being roundly criticized as homophobic for publishing a short animation that depicts the “forbidden romance” between Donald Trump as a teenager in love with Vladimir Putin.
The video, just over one-minute long, includes images of the two men, including kissing – complete with intertwined tongues, a beating heart, and hand holding, of sorts.
The Times says it’s the second two of a three-part opinion piece titled, “Trump Bites.” The animation is by Bill Plympton, and the video was produced by Billy Shebar and David Roberts.
The audio is clips of Trump talking about his fondness for Putin, among other disturbing remarks.
Here’s the video:

Pennsylvania’s first openly gay elected state lawmaker:
@nytimes this isn’t just intensely stupid it’s homophobic as all hell. What on Earth makes you think that equating the love that millions of people across the planet feel for one another to the unconscionably criminal relationship between these two is OK?!? Truly, please explain.

I don’t know what the hell is going on over at @nytopinion, but if you could refrain from throwing LGBTQ people under the bus to make your political satire, I think it’d be much appreciated. https://t.co/bBTU3BP4a4

I think it is dangerous to constantly insult the relationship between these two men by insinuating that it is romantic. This is homophobic. https://t.co/VKeYSJ6wDd

Come for the casual homophobia. Stay for the part where their tongues intertwine like cocks. Seriously @nytimes WHAT ARE YOU DOING https://t.co/kjbO5Q3aFi

This is homophobic. It is implying that being gay is an insult for both of these men. It implies that being gay would emasculate them. It implies that calling them gay together would anger them and incite reaction. This is beneath us. https://t.co/Zk95DgQOpN

insinuating Trump is in a sexual relationship with Putin makes homosexuality a punchline & is uncalled for. there’s SO MUCH to take Trump to task for, it’s embarrassing to see NYT stoop to “ha ha men kissing is yucky” https://t.co/PsUmLJWCks

Jokes about Trump and Putin being gay or Trump performing sex acts for Putin, are homophobic and in some cases also misogynistic.
So, stop making them and sharing them. ✌🏻

Welcome to the “inclusive” opinion pages of the New York Times, where bigotry and homophobia rule.
— ChristianH (@chertz) July 16, 2018
Aside from the blatant homophobia, you should be seriously fucking embarrassed if the best you can do is the same hacky as shit joke about how Trump and Putin are gay for each other.
