BAD PRESIDENT
‘Holy F*ckballs’: Internet Explodes Over ‘Illegitimate Tyrant’ Trump’s Self-Pardon Tweet
President Donald Trump on Monday morning asserted that he can pardon himselfif he’s ever indicted — and despite all of his antics, Twitter was shocked.
“As has been stated by numerous legal scholars, I have the absolute right to PARDON myself, but why would I do that when I have done nothing wrong?” the president tweeted.
“This is where we are,” radio host Mike Signorile tweeted. “It’s called dictatorship. Do not forget it.”
“I have the right to pardon myself.”
This is where we are.
It’s called dictatorship.
Do not forget it. https://t.co/tOnDvJs6qS

CNN’s Keith Boykin, meanwhile, noted how “unprecedented” the claim was.
“Even Nixon didn’t try to pardon himself,” Boykin wrote.
Trump says he has “the absolute right to PARDON myself.” This is unprecedented. Even Nixon didn’t try to pardon himself. https://t.co/Oaoaz8QYzV

It’s truly incredible that some people can look around and believe NFL players kneeling during the national anthem is a threat to this country and not, say, a criminal for a president prepared to pardon himself. Racism is one powerful drug, apparently.

Pretty sure we created this country to get away from kings. Nobody is above the law. NOBODY. https://t.co/kpnxg7RRDj

Donald. Writing it that big makes it look like you’ve just belched in the middle of the tweet. https://t.co/iR8e8k9SwP

Holy fuckballs. He just actually said it out loud. There is absolutely NOT a consensus on this notion that a president can pardon HIMSELF. A president is not above the law! Jesus christ on a cracker!! https://t.co/z8I62iwa7B

Trump’s 500 Days messages so far today:
– I’ve accomplished a lot
– The economy is great
– I almost repealed Obamacare but John McCain is bad
– I can definitely pardon myself— Daniel Dale (@ddale8) June 4, 2018
***exactly*** the message Republican campaign leaders want to hear as the president celebrates 500 days in office… https://t.co/Xej4WQSu3M

A sitting president, currently under investigation for high crimes, is trying to normalize the insane idea of a self-pardon.
This. Is. Not. Normal. https://t.co/0BC7aoFyc2

Bill Clinton still thinks he’s the victim in the Lewinsky affair and Trump says he can pardon himself. Quite a way to start the week.

And there you have it, folks.
The 45th President of the United States believes he is above the law. https://t.co/Ew5vhxHFPe

This seems to be Trump’s new case:
• “I have done nothing wrong”
• Therefore, charges against me would be false
• I was unfairly targeted for political reasons (like, say, D’Souza) and a pardon would be the only justifiable way to right this wrongHappy 500 days, everyone. pic.twitter.com/FepfvyluXC

The GOP has created and empowered a dictator. Law and order is dead in America now that the President is above the law. https://t.co/rw78Ne3wOh— Jacob Gil (@jacob4kids) June 4, 2018
