‘DISGRACEFUL!’: Trump Resumes War Against Jeff Sessions
President Proclaims ‘Potentially Massive FISA Abuse’ – That Has Already Been Disproven
President Donald Trump has resumed his war against his own Attorney General, Jeff Sessions, after devastating news of a guilty plea from his former campaign deputy and the loss of security clearances from dozens of White House employees, including his son-in-law Jared Kushner.
On Tuesday the Attorney General announced his DOJ’s inspector general will investigate the supposed FISA “abuses” put forth by Republican Rep. Devin Nunes, in the now infamous Nunes memo that has been discredited and debunked by a House Democrats’ memo.
Wednesday morning President Trump publicly lambasted him on Twitter.
Calling Sessions’ move “DISGRACEFUL!” Trump demanded the Attorney General assign DOJ lawyers to investigate.
Why is A.G. Jeff Sessions asking the Inspector General to investigate potentially massive FISA abuse. Will take forever, has no prosecutorial power and already late with reports on Comey etc. Isn’t the I.G. an Obama guy? Why not use Justice Department lawyers? DISGRACEFUL!
