Eric Trump Mocked After Trying to Defend Father’s ‘Pocahontas’ Slur
‘Eric Trump Either Hasn’t Seen Pocahontas, or…doesn’t Know Pocahontas Was a Real Person’
Eric Trump, unlike his older brother, tends to support his father not via Twitter but by appearing on Fox News. It turns out staying away from Twitter would have been the wise course of action, for father and son.
Responding to the controversy his father, President Trump, created Monday by calling Senator Elizabeth Warren “Pocahontas” during an event to honor Native Americans, Tuesday morning Eric Trump posted a tweet that immediately drew anger, ire, and mockery.
The irony of an ABC reporter (whose parent company Disney has profited nearly half a billion dollars on the movie “Pocahontasâ€) inferring that the name is “offensive†is truly staggering to me.

People on social media were quick to mock the middle Trump son:
Eric Trump appears to be arguing that a movie about the actual Pocahontas is just as offensive as his father calling a sitting senator ‘Pocahontas’. https://t.co/MQ5MIkqwYt

David Duke is a famous white person, so let’s all start calling @erictrump David Duke because when you act like race is the only characteristic that matters, it’s not offensive. https://t.co/O7yBUmbYG8

Eric Trump doesn’t understand the difference between Disney making a movie about the actual Pocahontas, and his dad calling a white senator “Pocahontas.” https://t.co/0IW4GqKdrW

It’s not an insult to call YOU Eric Trump, but if I called anyone else Eric Trump… https://t.co/b5gvWWr6YD

Eric Trump either hasn’t seen Pocahontas, or (and I believe this is more likely)…
…doesn’t know Pocahontas was a real person.

In which @EricTrump demonstrates he doesn’t know the meaning of the words “irony”, “staggering”, or “truly” https://t.co/q5rjlOSvZs

Are you actually this dumb or is it just an act to appear this dumb?

Context Eric, context.

Your “parent company” threw out a racial slur about Native Americans at a ceremony honoring Native Americans & you’re blithering on about a cartoon? Staggering.

You just expressed the limit of your intelligence in one succinct tweet.
