Sanders Expected to Endorse Clinton at Tuesday Event
Vermont Senator Says Clinton Campaign and His ‘Are Coming Closer and Closer Together’
Senator Bernie Sanders on Saturday told reporters, “I think it’s fair to say that the Clinton campaign and I, our campaign, are coming closer and closer together.†The New York Times reports the “awkward dance” between Clinton and Sanders “is set to conclude on Tuesday, with Mr. Sanders appearing alongside her at a rally in Portsmouth, N.H.”Â
Both campaigns posted joint news releases Monday morning, announcing the historic event, which comes less than two weeks before the start of the Democratic National Convention on July 25.

The rally “is the result of weeks of private negotiations and policy debates between the Sanders and Clinton camps,” with the Times calling it an “endorsement event.”
