Sanders Says His Supporters Will Not Vote for Trump
Bernie Sanders says Donald Trump is not going to win the votes of his supporters. Trump has been reaching out to Sanders supporters claiming he’s a reasonable alternative to those who embraced the Vermont Senator’s historic campaign.Â
“When he says that he does not understand the people who have supported me,” Sanders told CNN’s Chris Cuomo Friday morning. “The people who have supported me are not going to vote for a bigot – somebody who has, as the cornerstone of his campaign insulting Mexicans, Latinos, and Muslims, and women, and veterans, and African Americans,” Sanders said.
“That is not the candidate the people who voted for me will support. I’m going to do everything I can to defeat Trump.”
