GOP Lawmaker Whose Christmas Card Showed 5-Year Old With Gun Unveils 2016 Second Amendment Calendar
Nevada’s Michele Fiore Suggests Semi-Automatic Assault Rifles Are A ‘Girl’s Best Friend’
Michele Fiore knows how to appeal to her supporters.
The 45-year old Brooklyn born Nevada Tea Party representative pushes a brand of guns and ignorance, and it’s apparently working. Fiore, who is a rare Republican supporting same-sex marriage and marijuana, beat her 2014 Democratic opponent, a former Marine and schoolteacher, by 25 points.Â
Her 2015 Christmas card, highly criticized by liberals and gun control advocates for allowing her five-year old grandson to bear a Walther P22 semi-automatic pistol, earned her support from Second Amendment advocates and gun enthusiasts, despite setting a bad example for kids. It was also attacked for coming in the wake of the attack on a Colorado Planned Parenthood and the San Bernardino terror attack.

And then, there was her interview with the New York Times, in which she said “young, hot little girls on campus†need firearms to protect them from rape. “The sexual assaults that are occurring would go down once these sexual predators get a bullet in their head.â€

Fiore, who was a passionate advocate of Cliven Bundy and his 2014 standoff against the federal government, is also well-known for saying she believes cancer is merely a fungus that can be flushed out of the body with salt water and sodium carbonate.
After the Paris attacks she also said, “I’m about to fly to Paris and shoot ‘em in the head myself.â€
“I am not OK with Syrian refugees. I’m not OK with terrorists. I’m OK with putting them down, blacking them out, just put a piece of brass in their ocular cavity and end their miserable life. I’m good with that.”
She later had to clarify she meant she would shoot terrorists, not refugees.
So perhaps it’s no surprise that the Nevada Representative unveiled her 2016 calendar with this tweet:
Happy New Year! Start your new year off with my Second Amendment calendar! https://t.co/hOAIvFNNil pic.twitter.com/c5QvqkjFIc
— Michele Fiore (@VoteFiore) January 1, 2016
A clear takeoff of Marilyn Monroe and “Diamonds Are A Girl’s Best Friend,” Fiore poses in similar fashion, but with a semi-automatic AK-47 style assault rifle. In the lower left corner it states, “Diamonds aren’t a girls only best friend,” with “girl’s” misspelled.Â
