Scott Walker To Other GOP Candidates: Drop Out If You Can’t Win
Scott Walker exits the 2016 GOP presidential race, urges other struggling candidates to do so, so a strong Trump foe can emerge.
Claiming he is dropping out so “a positive conservative message can rise to the top of the field,†Scott Walker minutes ago officially suspended his campaign for president, as expected, and encouraged other flailing candidates to do the same.
“I am being called to lead by helping to clear the field in this race so that a positive conservative message can rise to the top of the field,” Walker said.
“I will suspend my campaign immediately,” Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker announced: http://t.co/UzwQAH36GL @CNNSitRoom https://t.co/ovdq7bpa33

Walker currently is polling at less than one percent among GOP voters.
The Wisconsin Republican governor took a harsh tone towards who can only be Donald Trump, although he did not name the brash billionaire, merely calling him “the current frontrunner.”
Walker insisted an alternative to Trump would be “fundamentally important” to the party’s future.
It’s convenient for Walker to blame Trump for sucking up all the oxygen, but the fact of the matter i Walker was a terrible candidate who lost ground tremendously quickly, in part because he wouldn’t give a straight or honest answer to most questions, and his positions run contrary to those of many across the nation.
Walker had entered the race saying it’s “God’s calling” and “God’s plan” for him.
Some responses via Twitter:
Shorter Walker: I’m taking one for the team to prevent the horror of a Trump nomination. Others should join me.
