Couple In Hillary Clinton Campaign Kick-Off Announcement Marries (Video)
One of the same-sex couples featured in Hillary Clinton’s campaign video married this weekend.
Jared Milrad and Nathan Johnson were featured in Hillary Clinton‘s 2016 presidential campaign kick-off video, where the theme was getting ready to do new things. The couple were also included in a video supporting marriage equality Clinton released just days before the Supreme Court’s historic ruling last month.
In the first video, the couple, holding hands, spoke of their upcoming nuptials, with Milrad saying, “I’m getting married this summer to someone I really care about.”Â
Later, Clinton sent them a thank-you note for appearing in the video. They are Clinton supporters but did not know for what the video would be used for when they agreed to be filmed. After the kick-off, the couple sent Clinton an invitation.
Sadly, she did not attend, although they did get to meet Clinton last month:

On Sunday afternoon at Montrose Harbor in Chicago, the pair tied the knot.
“She rightfully pointed out that if she came to the wedding, it might distract from our special day so we understand she supports us,†Milrad told CBS Chicago.
Clinton did send them a very nice note, which they posted to Twitter.
Thanks for your beautiful note, @HillaryClinton! We can’t wait to get on the trail! #wedding #lovewins #Hillary2016 pic.twitter.com/XO9uGGOLFV
