Watch: Stephen Colbert Destroys Bill O’Reilly’s Anti-Equality ‘Logic’ (Video)
Stephen Colbert last night was in exquisite form, attacking the very pundit many believe his character is based upon: Fox News veteran Bill O’Reilly. Colbert took down O’Reilly’s claims about why “America is in decline” and why the very concept of equality — promoted by liberals — is pointless.
Colbert focused on O’Reilly’s claim that “equality is what is hurting President Obama… We now have income equality, marriage equality, gender equality, and on and on and on.”
Breaking down O’Reilly’s attack that “each human being is born with abilities but they are not equal abilities,” Colbert drew that claim to its logical conclusion to “prove” that the concept of equality is pointless and “unnatural.”
O’Reilly’s logic is airtight,” Colbert sarcastically mocked.
“Shaquille O’Neill is taller than Bill O’Reilly, therefore the richest one percent of Americans should control forty percent of the nation’s wealth,” Colbert quipped.
“Bill O’Reilly is not quite as good looking as George Clooney, so men should not be allowed to marry each other — not even Bill and George, which is too bad because the kids would be beautiful.”
“The point is, if Bill O’Reilly is no Einstein — and I think we can all agree he’s not — then equality is forever out of our reach.”
The next part may be the funniest — you’ll have to watch because we’re not going to give it away!
