One Million Moms Back On Facebook?
One Million Moms, the low-budget email-harvesting arm of the American Family Association, has returned to Facebook, after a week-long hiatus. In what may about to the strangest use of social media, the group of 47,471 “Moms” apparently took their Facebook page down a week ago, while announcing they were going to “be offline this week for Vacation Bible School.” But many believed they had exited the 900 million fan super social media site after The New Civil Rights Movement caught them scrubbing pro-gay comments from their warning about Green Lantern being gay.
Regular readers will remember that One Million Moms ended up just deleting the entire Facebook “warning” about Green Lantern being rebooted as gay, then minutes later, the One Million Moms Facebook page had just disappeared, as The New Civil Rights Movement was first to report, drawing news reports from dozens of media outlets.
Today, they are back on Facebook, announcing:
Missed you girls! Had an amazing week at VBS (& family time)! Thank you for the prayers! Seeds were planted and many children were saved! To God Be the Glory!
Frankly, sounds like “Children of the Corn” to me.
