Michele Bachmann: “John Q. Adams Eradicated Slavery”
Michele Bachmann should be sent back to elementary school. It’s no wonder why Republicans like Bachmann want to get rid of the Department of Education.
But make no mistake. History revisionists like Michele Bachmann and former RNC Chair and current presidential hopeful Haley Barbour are doing all they can, with great foresight and intent, to minimize our nation’s history. Why? Because minimizing the perception of slavery and our embarrassing civil rights past also minimizes the greatness of an Obama presidency.
Being the first black president is not a big deal if we were, indeed, all equal throughout the centuries. Sadly, we weren’t, and, to quote Joe Biden, it is a big fucking deal.
