It’s been a great month for gay rights, gay marriage, and for The New Civil Rights Movement. The month began with the legalization of gay marriage in Iowa, then Vermont, then the recognition of gay marriages in D.C. In the midst of all that, we received a wonderful mention in a Queerty article, “The Gay Revolution Will Be Twitteredâ€, as number three of the “10 Gay Twitterers You Need to Followâ€. There’s also been the gay marriage bill news in New York, and the Matthew Shepard Act, both of which will be in committee tomorrow. But tonight I am not only pleased and excited, but honored to announce that The New Civil Rights Movement has been chosen to appear in Alltop.
What’s Alltop? For those of you who don’t know, Alltop stands for “All the top news.” From their site:
“The purpose of Alltop is to help you answer the question, “What’s happening?†in “all the topics†that interest you. You may wonder how Alltop is different from a search engine. A search engine is good to answer a question like, “How many people live in China?†However, it has a much harder time answering the question, “What’s happening in China?†That’s the kind of question that we answer.
We do this by collecting the headlines of the latest stories from the best sites and blogs that cover a topic. We group these collections — “aggregations†— into individual web pages.”
So, to all of you who visit here, comment here, share links to stories you’ve read here, my sincere thanks. And my sincere thanks for all the other things you do to make gay rights and gay marriage not only a reality, but, commonplace.
Check out Alltop, and the page that you can see us on, Alltop: All the top GLBT news.
