Gay Couple Gets Marriage License In Kim Davis’ Office Amid Shouts Of ‘Homosexual Sodomy’ And ‘Sin’
Kim Davis returned to work today, and minutes ago a same-sex couple became the first to get a marriage license with her present. Davis’ Christian supporters made their feelings quite clear.
Local couple Shannon and Carmen Wampler-Collins today walked through dozens of Kim Davis supporters and a few Davis opponents into the Rowan County Courthouse and waited on line to apply for their marriage license.

As they stood at the counter applying for their marriage license, anti-gay Christian activists just a few feet away preached from the Bible and told them they were going to hell.Â

“Your sin is going to be your demise!,” one man preached. “Because he loves you, he is calling you to himself today… You can’t satisfy yourself, only God can satisfy your needs!”
“It’s an oxymoron!” he continued. “It is a lie from the pit of Hell that destroys those who participate in homosexual sodomy, and destroys nations that approve of that! So young ladies, today God is calling you to himself!”
As the couple were condemned by strangers, Rowan County deputy clerk Brian Mason helped them fill out the form and joked with them a bit.

The couple met 23 years ago at Smith College.
