Watch: Barack Obama Sworn In As President For His Second Term
Today, just a few minutes before noon, Barack Hussein Obama raised his right hand, placed his left hand on the Bible, and Chief Justice John Roberts swore him in for his second and final term as President.
“I do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States,” President Obama said, as mandated by the Constitution.
Watch this momentous occasion, with President Obama becoming just the 16th president to be sworn in to a second term.
