‘Freedom Fries’ GOP Congressman Says Dick Cheney Will Rot In Hell For Iraq War
A GOP U.S. Congressman best-known for getting the Congressional cafeteria to rename french fries to “freedom fries” says former Vice President Dick Cheney will probably rot in hell over his role in the Iraq War. Rep. Walter B. Jones, Republican of North Carolina, spoke at a Young Americans for Liberty conference on Saturday.
Lamenting that Congress will not hold anyone from the Bush administration accountable for the Iraq War, Rep. Jones told the group of Ron Paul supporters, “Lyndon Johnson is probably rotting in hell right now, because of the Vietnam War, and he probably needs to move over for Dick Cheney.”
Rep. Jones had Congress remove the word “french” from fries after France refused to go to war with Iraq in 2003. He later strongly regretted supporting the war.
