‘You Should Resign’: Fireworks as Democratic Senator Accuses Barr of ‘Cover Up’ for ‘Grifter’ in Oval Office
“Give us some credit for knowing what the hell is going on around here.”
U.S Senator Mazie Hirono (D-HI) castigated Attorney General Bill Barr Wednesday afternoon, accusing him of “deep involvement” in a cover on behalf of the President and calling on him to resign.
Mazie Hirono to Barr: “America deserves better. You should resign.”

“The American people know that you are no different from Rudy Giuliani or Kellyanne Conway or any of the other people who sacrificed their once decent reputation for the grifter and liar who sits in the Oval Office,” Hirono told the AG.
WOW — @maziehirono *goes in* on Barr, says “the American people know you are no different from Rudy Giuliani or Kellyanne Conway, or any of the other people who sacrificed their once decent reputations for the liar and grifter who sits in the Oval Office.” pic.twitter.com/nmENNZjyQL

Senator Hirono also urged the Attorney General to “give us some credit for knowing what the hell is going on around here,” at which point Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham interrupted her. He would later publicly chastise the Senator from Hawaii and accuse her of engaging in “slander” against Barr.
Hirono also asked Barr if he thinks it’s OK for the President to offer pardons in exchange for a witness to not testify, and for a president to threaten the family members of a witness so he is afraid to testify, likely referring to Trump’s treatment of Michael Cohen.
LOL. Bill Barr found this a very hard line of questioning. pic.twitter.com/8rd6OMYvoK
