‘We Always Put America First’: Rod Rosenstein Resigns – Read His Letter to the President
Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein has just submitted his resignation to President Donald Trump.
In a lengthy letter Rosenstein, who had said he would resign after Attorney General William Barr was in place and had transitioned, the Deputy AG says his last day will be May 11.
“We keep the faith, we follow the rules, we put America first,” his letter concludes, putting a spin on the President’s “America first” slogan.
Last week it was revealed Rosenstein had begged the President to keep his job, and promised he would “land the plane.” That appeared to some to mean deliver a successful resolution to the Mueller investigation for Trump.
